YHS! Grew up a street over from Jacob and met Alex while he was at YHS. I am year older and moved to Huron by that point but we had a lot of friends in common. Both good dudes.
As the saying goes, “Gattis knows what he did.” There has been a rumor all year that Gattis would be out based on his indiscretions. Some thought success on the field would change the outcome. Guess not.
While the timing suggests this is about OSU, I think Gattis is making this because of Michigan, to highlight, by way of example, how tough this season has been for U of M.
Yes, but this lacks context. Not every conference, state, city, university or athletic department handled covid the exact same way. Some teams were absolutely more disadvantaged than others. The question is whether Michigan was one of those teams and, if so, how much grace should we extend to JH?
How exactly does one assess the probability that a stranger at a grocery store will spit while talking within the three hours before their arrival? Also, this is not true. We all likely put particles in the air while speaking and certainly while breathing, hence the new guidance re masks or a face covering of some sort.
I received my EMBA from Notre Dame. I am also an alum of Wharton. First, you have to compare apples to apples. An EMBA program will provide a different experience than a part-time program, mainly due to the types of students who are admitted into EMBA programs. An EMBA student will have 10-15 years of experience, whereas an MBA student may have 5 years of experience. As a result, you'll probably learn more from your colleagues in an EMBA program and likely take more from your professors in an MBA program. In either case, networking is key, unlike law school which is all about academic competition.
Whether U of M (PT) or ND (EMBA) is best for you, totally depends on what you want out the program. EMBAs are great for experienced professionals who want to fill in gaps (real or perceived) in their skills set. Most EMBA programs, based on the nature of the programs, do not go very deep so it puts more onus on students to go beyond the syllabus to develop mastery of areas of interests. I highly recommend doing so. EMBA programs may not as good at helping you land your next gig. ND's career services dept. was lacking. Also, going to school locally allows you to take better advantage of on-campus resources and get a more traditional student experience. You won't find much difference in the curriculum (EMBA vs EMBA; PT MBA vs PT MBA). There are several professors that teach at both schools.
On MBA brand (Ross, ranking, perception, etc.), U of M wins. ND wins on the network, which I'd put up against Wharton's network without a decided winner. Much to the chagrin of the folks on this board, ND and U of M are very similar institutions, excluding ND's religious bent, of course.
I opted for the ND EMBA program because it felt right. And at the time, U of M's EMBA program ran $65K more. That said, I still have not attended a Notre Dame football game! Go Blue!
I imagine shoppers are typing in the item they are looking for + amazon into Google. Then the report just group all of those search items into “amazon.com.”
Know his family, confident Emoni will finish HS in Michigan. He has turned down numerous opportunities to play basketball elsewhere because his family is so important to him. His dad played at Pioneer, his uncle played at Huron.
Is it possible that UM tells a recruit like TW that his offer is as a PWO instead of simply pulling his offer? He clearly has made academics a priority with the ivy league offers. At that point, it's ivy league education and football versus UM education and an opportunity to earn a scholarship to play football at UM.
The thing I admire about Coach Brown is his ability to get the media to cover what he thinks they should be covering (ex. decline in targeting). He plants stories. Yup, Coach Brown does the media's job for them.
Congrats on your successes! Sure there are tons of young UM students/alums who would love to hear your story. I'm a VC attorney here in Ann Arbor and solid, experienced VC fund mentors are hard to come by here in Michigan
mGrowOld were your companies listed on PitchBook? PB does a great job of tracking announcements on financings so I would not be shocked if they focused primarily on companies and financings reported on PB, while also reaching out to universities that historically produce venture-backed companies for additional insights.
Making huge strides in entrepreneurship and VC with cross-discipline courses across the university. These figures also do not appear to include Duo's $2.35B exit to Cisco. #GoBlue
Maybe. Ole Miss could have immediately advised the NCAA that it would not challenge by waiving its right TL challenge. That would have allowed the committee to immediate review the materials submitted.
Part of the rationale for going with Washington over Bush may be Mattison's potential retirement in the near future. At that point you move Washington to the D-Line. I imagine that Patridge is the successor to Brown. If Webb's reports are correct, moving Chris to the secondary means that he will touch another position group on defense as he prepares to be a DC (hopefullly here) in the future.
We're talking athleticism, not talent. Taco ran a 4.9 at the combine. I think Winovich is quicker and faster than Taco. I'd imagine Taco is stronger...
Yes, I'd say Gary is much more athletic than Wormley, and Winovich is more athletic than Charlton. Bush has Gedeon beat, and per Stribling's combine results, I'd venture to say that Long/Hill are better athletes.
Does it make sense now? With X set to run the team year, was the decision to send Spike to other pastures an investment in X/the program for next year? Difficult to see X getting as much playing time with Spike in the mix.
I grew up with both his mom and dad. Kid comes from tall genes and athleticism. His dad was really good in HS with hops and his uncle good jump out of the freakin gym...just inside the free throw line, 360 windmill type hops.

Grew up with the Gold boys, too. Jeremy, Jason, Ian and Cory.
Appreciate it. Did you nab a VPN as well?
I'm traveling in Mexico and Hulu is not available. Does anyone have a solid streaming link to share?
AMEX Delta Reserve is a great card if you're exclusive to Delta. Otherwise, the AMEX EveryDay card is a good get.

So let me get this right...we might take a Deuce and a Tinkle? Always a fitting combination, so I have no complaints.

Coach Samaha’s, Huron BB coach, son? He was the BB coach at Ypsi in my day, and my sister’s neighbor. Coached my nephew at Huron, too. Good guy.
My man, this take totally ignores each state has its own regulations and COVID did not spread equally at every Big Ten university.

Kanye’s gospel album is legit, heavy rotation right now. Even the kids know the lyrics to Hands On.

Sometimes bad quarterbacks put good/great defenses in bad positions...

I haven’t seen Ben St. Juste today with the CBs. Is he hurt? I know he’s not in the two deep but still expected to see him on the field.

If so, any MGOBLOG insurance or general corporate lawyers can review and comment....and he can just happen to stumble upon it here.... lol
But the founders of the Vs. Everybody brand (trademarked) are from Detroit so this is pretty cool!

Something doesn't seem right about J Lewis or Striblings 40 times.
Well...hypothetically, if not for Bridges, Michigan would win in a blowout, hypothetically...
