There's no rule preventing a player in the transfer portal from playing in the bowl game for his former team.  There is a rule preventing a player in the transfer portal from playing in the bowl game for his new team.  You can request a waiver, but it will get denied unless your new team is in the SEC.

Iowa scored a combined 61 points in their final two games.  How many offensive touchdowns did they score?  2!  Not two per game.  2 Total!  TWO!!

Glen Lake is the one near Sleeping Bear Dunes.  Very clear and probably the most beautiful lake I've seen in Michigan.  You can look down at it from points in Sleeping Bear Dunes and see the varying shades of blue as the lake gets deeper.  Truly spectacular.

I usually make it to only one game a year at the Big House.  Saturday I drove to Evanston to watch the NW game (family friend plays on the team).  That game was interminable.  Same stuff, BTN coverage, timeouts, penalties, injuries.  It all added up to an almost 4 hour game.  The 3rd quarter seemed like it took an hour alone.  We had to drive back to Grand Rapids after the game so we were very aware of the length of the game.  I'm not sure what the answer is (I like one less timeout since they get TV TOs anyway, and obfviously fewer commercials, but that cat's out of the bag.  It sure seemed like I saw a lot more football and way less downtime when I was a kid.

I'm shocked, shocked I say.  Not sure if this has been brought up, but 1.  How was he unprepared for the questions at B1G media day if he'd just fired ZS.  He and the HR Dept had to have gone over Z's personnel file and DV history in pretty scrutinous detail.  2.  If he indeed had reported the 2015 incident and lied only to the media, then all of the coaches, his wife, the athletic department knew he was lying at Media Day.  Not just lying but making up a story that he'd just heard about the incident the night before.  It's one thing to lie when nobody knows you're lying, but it's really brazen to lie when people close to you know that you are.  Shelley Meyer at breakfast the next morning.  "Hey honey, you really pulled one over on those media guys yesterday.  I'm so proud of you."  Finally, 3.  It's disturbing how good a liar he is, adding little details to reinforce the lie.  Not that I ever believed anything Urban has said before, but man is he arrogant.

Will he be eligible for Senior Night

Very sad news and he deserves tremendous recognition by the fans.  Will that come at Senior Night or will they likely do something before that?
