| 10 weeks 2 days ago | Had UM beating |
Had UM beating Louisville in one and UM beating Ohio in the other. 2nd one is buddy's out of state, so I am only one with UM in 100 person pool! |
| 10 weeks 3 days ago | Same thing with previous game |
Same thing with previous game - WSU only had a chance to make a prayer at the end and they blame the held ball call. |
| 10 weeks 3 days ago | Amen. |
Amen. Even if it is a block no guarantee of anything. Too many other calls. |
| 10 weeks 3 days ago | Block |
Block, but hardaway got hacked on a play as well. One call does not make a game. Defense improved, cuse can't score and we win! |
| 10 weeks 6 days ago | I am sure |
I am sure all the cops would think your face was priceless as well as they stop you over and over for "apparent" traffic violations. |
| 11 weeks 1 day ago | I am sure Morgan |
I am sure Morgan is no dummy. He sees what MM brings to the table. Jordan has done very well given his skill set - those of you who watched him in high school would probably agree it is surprising to see him play a well as he does. But he is limited - I am sure he knows that. He played some big minutes when we weren't as talented and as recruiting has improved, unfortunately guys like him and vogrich get left out a bit. |
| 11 weeks 1 day ago | Exactly. |
They lost 9 times this year. The article makes it sound like they are infallible. Bottom line is we will need to do a ggod job getting to middle. It would seem Mcgary would be the man for the middle with GRIII under. Yes, tough game but at this point they all are with there own unique challenges. We present out own. |
| 16 weeks 4 days ago | Chophouse |
Chophouse tonight. Steak au poivre. Can't beat it. |
| 23 weeks 2 days ago | Any road game |
Any road game in college basketball is tough. Think of all the road games in the Beilein era where we thought we had easy wins and they went south. These guys are damn good, but I would be surprised if they beat the team down south and mommy on the road. |
| 27 weeks 4 days ago | Lewan is long gone |
Friend of mine works at a school. One of the baseball players at the school is a good friend of Lewan's and he said he is gone. |
| 38 weeks 4 days ago | I hope you are right |
I hope you are right but....I keep thinking there aren't any juniors or seniors on this defense that are anywhere near pro material. Combine that with an errant Denard throw and I think we lose a high scoring affair. |
| 1 year 5 weeks ago | Been 19 years |
Been 19 years and I still remember the Cindy's Daily. Roommate and I loved the place and at the time preferred it over Zingerman's. I ran errands for a law firm down town during school and always got to clean up leftover Zingerman's trays. Good, but so overpriced. Live in Brighton and was happy when Amer's opened in Brighton, but that was short-lived. Only negative of Maize and Blue was smelling like the place the rest of the day. |
| 1 year 8 weeks ago | Repeat status |
Repeat status is the key. I hardly follow hockey, but after watching the NHL video and seeing him hit 5 or 6 guys in the head I think he should sit out all of next year. The hit wouldn't have bothered me much if he ran into his chest, but he clearly went for his head. No excuse; ring him up. |
| 1 year 12 weeks ago | Think about Hardaway |
Think about Hardaway - I think you could make the case he would have gone higher in last year's draft than this one. sometimes you have to get when the getting is good.

| 1 year 12 weeks ago | That is taking it a bit too far |
That is taking it a bit too far. Manny really shouldn't even factor into the conversation. He wasn't Beilein's recruit, and while he was a good player for us, he wasn't great. Let's face it - he wanted to jump as soon as he could and get paid to play basketball. Darius and Trey seem like two different situations to me. One, Trey hasn't left yet and I am confident he will make a better decision than Darius did. Darius, like Manny IMO, wanted to get paid to play ball and college wasn't his first choice. I believe Trey will make a good decision if the indications aren't good. He is a much better overall baller than Darius, but 6 inches is a big deal. I don't see this having anything to do with JB, chemistry and relationships. Moving forward, this is something we will have to deal with if we want to compete with the big boys. State has dealt with it in the past and it did cause some down years for them (post Richardson and Randolph). Duke gave up Irving after one year and reloaded. We need to get to that point, but it is going to take 3-4 classes of good recruits. We obviously haven't had that yet. After Friday's loss I did, for the first time this year, think about how nice it would have been to have Morris and Burke on the court at the same time.

| 1 year 15 weeks ago | Yes they would |
Yes they would beat them. A friend of mine's son goes to Texas and Texas actually recruited a few guys that played high school ball to play against the women. Cool for the guys - they got all sorts of perks and gear. They crushed the women all the time. The women's program did it so the women played against a faster speed. No contest. There is just too much physical difference. |
| 1 year 23 weeks ago | We need to beat some good |
We need to beat some good teams. All marginal victories right now. Virginia and Indiana were road games but heh, if you are a very good team, win one. |
| 1 year 28 weeks ago | Too much one on one |
Too much one on one play on offense last night - we aren't set up for that. Not one back door cut and we failed to realize they were sagging in the lane on our screen and rolls and leaving a man wide open in the corner. |

Tougher than the Knowledge predicts. |
| 1 year 32 weeks ago | Good links |
Good links - thanks. |
| 1 year 34 weeks ago | Hate to say it |
Hate to say it, but I think Sparty fairs better than we think. I pick Sparty to cover, but Wisconsin wins a close one 30 -24. |
| 1 year 34 weeks ago | Could be a rocky start |
Could be a rocky start, but I agree. I think this is the most depth we have had in a long time, assuming Brundidge/Burke have the skills we think they do.... |
| 1 year 34 weeks ago | I think that depends on |
I think that depends on Morgan's skill development - is his shooting improved and has he developed better inside footwork/moves. Horford has size, weight and he has a much better shot. Would guess guess Morgan still has a big leg up in basketball IQ though. |
| 1 year 34 weeks ago | McLimans should be |
McLimans should be the odd man out simply on talent. Horford, beyond his off season weight gain, has also really committed. Supposedly effort and work ethic have picked up dramatically - he used to have to be poked and prodded to do things and that has changed. Potentially Horford may split a lot of minutes with Morgan - I think Smotrycz is going to end up on the floor a lot. And Horford has an inch or two on Morgan, now weighs more and I believe has a wingspan advantage as well. Be interesting to see how they have developed. |
| 1 year 34 weeks ago | Loss of Diebler |
Loss of Diebler could be a big deal - he helped them spread the floor. But they are loaded......I think I agree with rape and pillage. |
| 1 year 34 weeks ago | The key is somebody |
The key is somebody has to be able to penetrate. Certainly THJ will be running some pick n roll with Morgan, but we need penetration to make the offense work consistently. Morris did that; hopefully Burke/Brundidge can step up as the season progresses. |
| 1 year 35 weeks ago | Smotrycz could make |
Smotrycz could make a big jump this year - I really feel he is going to be a big time player in Beilein's system. I think it is possible we see a lot more of him at times than Morgan, depending on match-ups and how Morgan's shot and low post moves have developed. But I agree - Burke and Brundidge need to be able to provide some penetration for us. Hopefully Hardaway as well has improved his ability to take the ball to the hole. |

585 days, if my math is right, since MSU has beaten UM in basketball..... |
