watch the replay.  It…

watch the replay.  It definitely bounced back on the field

Was it just me or did that…

Was it just me or did that Georgia field goal bounce off the cross bar and back onto the field?  It looked missed to me.

I fail to understand that…

I fail to understand that before we had the playoffs, and only 2 teams were eligible to win a NC with the BCS, the bowl games weren't meaningless, but as soon as we add only 2 more teams to the contention for a NC, all of the sudden they are meaningless?  These games go in the record books as a W or L, and affect their overall ranking.  Maybe these players should just start skipping out on the last games of the regular season if they are on a team that is no longer in contention for a championship, if this is the logic we are starting to use.

I hate that line of thinking…

I hate that line of thinking.  How is this an exhibition game when a win or loss goes against your overall record and final ranking at the end of the season?  With this rational shouldn't players who are NFL ready just start sitting out as soon as their team is out of contention for a championship?  The Peach Bowl is also a NY6 Bowl just like the Rose Bowl.  Would we have called going to the Rose Bowl an Exhibition game back in 03, 04, and 06, even though we didn't have a shot at the National Championship?

Completely agree with you. …

Completely agree with you.  The one comment I hate hearing whenever players sit out these bowl games is "why risk injuring yourself for an exhibition game?"  Last I checked, these games still go in the record books towards your overall record and the end of season rankings.  I don't see this as much more than quitting on your team.  Otherwise, why not just sit out as soon your team is no longer in contention of a championship?

Not saying they don't work…

Not saying they don't work hard.  Kevin Durant works hard yet it's no secret he went to GS to basically be guaranteed a championship game.  If Dax sticks around for 3 years he will have a ring, there's barely any question about it.  While I understand wanting to go to Bama, I always admire the guy who decides to go to a program where he can be much more of a game changer to that team.  On a fan level, its frustrating watching a situation where the rich keep getting richer.

Seems like he just wants to…

Seems like he just wants to be handed a championship ring like most of the high level recruits that go to Bama.  Sadly I think College Football is changing to the point where the top teams stay dominant for long periods of time with huge gaps between them and the rest of the schools in the country.  Teams like Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, and now Georgia will have a strangle hold on college football for quite a while now.  It makes for boring seasons like this one.

It's frustrating that in the…

It's frustrating that in the 8th year of the Big Ten having a championship game, there has been 7 teams that have gotten to play in Indy, and we haven't been one of them.  Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, and now Northwestern will have had the privilege of playing in it.  Look at the list of teams that has not been along with us: Maryland, Rutgers, Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota, and Illinois.  We're not in very good company in that aspect, as we've had plenty of seasons that are far and away from each of those teams best seasons.  I know a lot of that has to do with division unbalance but it's so frustrating nonetheless.

O Line Situation

Not trying to overreact, and I usually don't get too worked up over recruits decisions but this one felt like a kick in the nuts.  A good O Line is something I feel we have been lacking in the last decade or so.  To me it doesn't really matter how many good skill players we get, we will never be able to get to an elite level without a good O Line.  This commitment really would have helped.  Especially after wiffing on several top level lineman last year and only ending up with a few.  I don't get it.  I would think great Offensive Lineman would be salivating to come here.  Especially the lines that Harbaugh was able to build at Stanford.

Chase Winovich Has Winovich moved back to linebacker? I sure hope this is the case considering he's not on the depth chart at Tight end and considering the seniors we are losing after this year and the lack of depth we'll have at linebacker next year.
@5:15

It shows him lining up against Maurice Ways at 5:15 in the video

Canteen

Did I see Freddy Canteen playing some conerback?  Must be part of the experimenting they're doing in the defensive backfield.

Now at 85 Scholarships

According to touchthebanner, we are now at 85 scholarships with the loss of Pipkins (including Kerridge and Glasgows).  So techically there was some windling down to do to get to the limit.

What a tease

"My Dad is in a sitcom called I Ain't Singing that premiers at The Charles Wright Museum April 8th at 6 pm!!"

What he said

Illinois, Nebraska, and Rutger's all offer women's swimming and diving, but not men's.

coaching staff

This coaching staff seems to be very anti-redshirt so I doubt that happens.  That being said though I think Mone has a chance to make a contribution this year.

The RichRod years

Most of the RichRod years brought me to tears.  But not good tears.

UNC

If you play for schools like North Carolina the classes and homework aren't much of a problem.

Deja Vu

This team needs to learn how to finish a game.  This is starting to feel like the Illinois and Ohio State games.

Hardaway

Tim Hardaway Jr. left a video message.

WR's

I think Harris and Canteen have a great chance to play considering who we've lost and the lack of experience at that position.  I have a feeling though, that a lot of these guys won't redshirt.  I feel like this coaching staff is pretty careless when it comes to not redshirting players when they could easily use one.  Does anyone else feel this way?

Excited for him

Excited for Shane personally but I fear if he dosen't have a good game, that a lot of ingorant fans will throw him under the bus and try to discount him as our future QB.

4 of the past 5 years

They've won 4 out of the last 5.

Kyle Kalis

What are you talking about that Kalis didn't participate in the Ohio State game?  He was out there about every single offensive play it seemed like.

Posada

Posada actually committed to RichRod

kinda OT: Check out this Sparty tool

I will miss this game

I was really looking forward to them implementing the new playoff system into the game too.

Gibbons

If someone would have told me back in 2010 that Gibbons would eventually break that record of consecutive field goals made I would have thought they were insane.  Congrats to him.

Jordan Kovacs

Jordan Kovacs just tweeted that he was signed to the Dolphins practice squad

Thanks for sharing

Just signed up for the 2 year.  This will also be my first time with Insider.

Can't be mad

Can't be mad at him.  He's done a lot for Michigan and I wish him the best of luck.  Hopefully we don't lose anymore though.

Albrecht

Now it makes sense to why Albrecht played so well

First four games

I haven't liked the first four games since they added them 2 years ago.  Just looking at this makes you realize how messy it makes things.  Boise, Lasalle, Mid Tenn, and Saint Mary's are technically 12 seeds but are playing as 11 and 13 seeds? Cal and Oregon are technically 11 seeds playing as 12 seeds?  I wish they would go back to the old 65 team format where things are much more simple and more fair.

It is supposed to air

It is supposed to air sometime next weekend.

We arent in the SEC.  So no.

We arent in the SEC.  So no.

Nick Hill

Nick Hill is just jealous that he wasn't good enough to get an offer from Michigan.

Thats what I thought.  I

Thats what I thought.  I thought you could still play in the first 3 games of the season and still redshirt or something like that.  Tamani Carter before he left the team was listed as a RS FR and I almost know for a fact he played a little bit on special teams early on.
