I would tell him to pick what school best fits his needs, unless that school is MSU! Seriously though, if I was a good but not great player, I wouldn't really want to ride the bench at a big time D1 school. You could still get a great education at a lower tier school and maybe get some PT! Grand Valley is a great example!
Everyone in the stadium knew we would run it on first down. Now I'm all for punching someone in the mouth and stuffing it in, but I thought RichRod was supposed to be innovative? A little play action fake with a roll out would have probably worked there. I'm just so sick and effing tired of the teams that I root for being so damned predictable. You try something on first down that's not expected and if it doesn't work you have 3 more downs to try and run it in! Just my opinion, but maybe that's why I don't coach.
I really think Denard needs to seriously think about switching! We all know he won't make it to the pro's as a QB, so why not use his explosiveness elsewhere! I think if Gardner comes in and blows everyone away,he will. If not, he redshirts and Denard stays at QB for at least one more year. That's the two scenarios that I see playing out.
It would be crazy if he wasn't. He's the highest rated QB at 53 according to Rivals. With that said, is it normal to have the Top QB rated that low overall. Makes me wonder if the QB class is week this year?
