What???

OK....I didn't see Black Panther, and haven't seen Infinity War.....just like reading SPOILERS!

But are you telling me that the "token" black super-hero gets killed?  Is he the "first" super-hero to die in this movie???  Way to perpetuate the hollywood movie stereotype!

Network, network, network

You will need to focus on getting referrals.  Weekly networking through a chapter like BNI can help you get 15-20 other business owners looking for opportunities to refer business to you.  Find a local BNI chapter in your neighborhood.

I know you, too!

Hey gmack....so great to hear from you!  Isn't this a great blog site?  Been my favorite for 7+ years.  Its wild and wonderful to connect with you here!

I do hope to see you at the rehearsal....it would be great to catch up.  Congrats on your son, sounds like you've raised a fine one.  Best wishes....hope to see you Saturday.

No, college is different

I feel the same way about high school reunions....haven't gone to one ever.

But Blast from the Past feels different.  Maybe its the Michigan Football component.  The downside of waiting until you are "older" to go....you may not get a chance to see those friends at older ages.  Life is not always kind.

But reliving college days are so much more fun than reliving high school days.

I'll be there, too

Both my wife and I will be there as well.  We are both class of 1990, and we will be in the Stick section (Clarinets, for the non-MMB).  I can't remember the last time we came back for Homecoming.....over 15 years.  I think I am going to have to fake playing!....I'm not sure I remember how....

But going to have a great time, seeing old friends.  And, hopefully, a Michigan win!!

Very nice interview....very

Very nice interview....very professional and respectful.  I am looking forward to reading more from you in the future.  Welcome!

A few of my favorites...

A few of my craft favorites are spread out all over.  I, too, like Ommegang and Three Floyds.

But a few others I haven't seen mentioned:

Coney Island (Albino Python....mmmm)

North Coat Brewing (god, Brother Thelonious is just incredible!)

5 Rabbit, which is brewed here Chicago (anything from them is awesome)

Allagash Brewing

And, for all of you in the Grand Rapids area, you need to check out Brewery Vivant.  This is my new favorite.....I just love the Zaison, and the Solitude.

Okay.....I drink a lot of beer...that doesn't seem to be a problem to me!

Brewery Vivant Zaison

A nice Brewery Vivant Zaison.......mmmmmm.  This micro from Grand Rapids has an awesome brew selection.  If you are ever there, try it out.

Beamer vs Weiss

While watching that 2nd to last drive last night, I couldn't help but be reminded about Weiss' dumb play call last year - throwing up a long pass in the hopes of sealing the game.  Beamer just ran 2 straight times to kill the remaining BSU timeouts, and could have run off another 40-50 seconds with a 3rd run and punt.  That would of left just over a minute left for BSU.

I guess it doesn't matter, considering the poor defense played by VT.  But still, dumb coaching move, in my opinion.  And reminded me SO MUCH of Mr. Weiss!

You are correct....but

I agree with you completely on the RB situation. I feel good about the looks the younger guys have received.

But the OL scares me. And that was before I forgot/overlooked the loss of Schilling!! I just remember too many years of:

New OL = crappy season

While we SHOULD be okay....too many times that is not the case with brand new OLs.

With you on the WRs.

Keep our fingers crossed for the D.

Like the post - but senior losses are a concern

I also like some of the parallels. But, the seniors we will be losing are the ones contributing the most this year - on both sides of the ball!

Offense
RB - Brown
RB - Minor
OL - Ortmann
OL - Moosman
WR - Matthews - seemingly, our most "dependable" hands

Defense
DL - Graham
LB - Stevie Brown - possible, maybe probably
K - Zoltan the Magnificent - is Hagerup going to fill the "Magnificent" role as a frosh?

These are a lot of key contributors. And, I am not sure if we have seen enough of the younger potential replacements to have that warm-fuzzy feeling that 2010 will be another +3 to 4 win-improvement season.

B+

Before this past weekend, I would have said A-. I have been very pleased with this season's effort in the grand scheme of things - knowing that Rich Rod's learning curve hits in years 2 and 3. However, it was very disappointing to see Big Blue outcoached and outplayed so bad at home. Reminded me of last year too much.

Maybe I'm just a nervous nellie - but I am hoping that it was just a fluke game. Here's hoping the rest of this year's games are competitive through the end. If so, I change my grade to A-.

I agree. And, I seem to

I agree. And, I seem to remember a few WVU bowl games where the D for WVU SURPRISINGLY shut down other "great" offenses. I remember Georgia a few years ago...

Chicago game watching

Hey Chicago fans: Want to watch the game at a bar with other Michigan fans but don’t want to stand in line to get in? Want to be able to sit down? Want a great beer list?

Non-sanctioned UM v. Penn State game-watching party tomorrow at Chicago Ale House 2200 W. Lawrence www.chicagoalehouse.com

See you there and GO BLUE!

Still like to see him out there

I still would like to see Booboo out there, IF....he truly has done what he needs to get "reinstated". He had to have been very diappointed in losing his starting position. I'd like to see him get on the field a bit - simply to reinforce his "good" behaviors, and to reward his efforts in getting out of RRs doghouse.

Big Boy

My best ever costume idea was Big Boy. Even painted the red checkers on the white overalls. Man, what a pain in the a$$. But definitely a hit!
