I watched the All Or Nothing series the week before the Minnesota game and a couple things stuck out to me.  

Harbaugh is not hip or cool and super awkward.  He’s also not a great speaker in front of the team.  Now, I only have to go off of what was shown in that documentary but my guess is that he’s like that more often than not.

As it relates to recruiting/talent (our biggest hurdle to success) I wonder what JH is like in a living room with an elite recruit and his family.

I understand the position coaches and coordinators do more of the heavy lifting in day-to-day recruiting but I think some recruits might be turned off to JH and his personality.  If they don’t like him they’re probably not going to commit.

The arrogance overall around the university and fan base doesn’t help either.  Ohio State is a bunch of pricks, Michigan is the “nice guy” that tries too hard because they’re too full of themselves.  The hottest girls always go for the asshole even when they know in their minds it’s only temporary...2-3 years and they’re on to the league with a ring or two.  

At the end of the day Michigan will always be in the 10-20 range pulling in girls that got ghosted, and unless they start sending bag men to these recruits to get them to come to Michigan.  
 

Lastly, EVERYONE needs to get out of the outdated winningest program of all time mentality.  That shit doesn’t matter anymore.  

Being ill-prepared and out coached has nothing to do with a spell being casted onto anyone based on the performance against Minnesota.  Covid is not an excuse, it’s YEAR SIX and there are no reasons to be losing these types of games.  

Do you think Saban/Meyer/Swinney would come to Michigan for $10-15M?  It would have to be a too good to pass up offer but even still I’m not sure any of them would come here.

If you base your mindset solely on record vs. Ohio state then fire JH and get rid of the football program completely because no coach that comes in after him will do any better, and that’s a fact.  We endured 8 of the WORST YEARS OF MICHIGAN FOOTBALL under rich rod and Brady Hoke.  Five WINNING seasons later and a team that’s competitive nationally and it’s still not good enough.  Y’all need to understand/learn how football works if you think firing JH is the answer.

Really good insight here.  After ND I thought we might be looking at 8-4/9-3 depending on how we handled the meaty October portion of the schedule.  Personally, my expectations changed as the season progressed into an actual contender.  The defense gave up more yards against Rutgers and Indiana than expected and that didn’t sit well heading into The Game.  10-2 is still considered to be a great season but losing the way we did yesterday makes it feel more like 8-4 or 7-5.  

Too predictable as always in big games.  Nothing creative in terms of scheme/game plan to throw off a very mediocre defense.  

Out-coached in every phase of the game.  The game was over in the first half because Michigan wasn’t prepared for the game.  It’s disapponting to see a pathetic performance like this when the stage is so big.  Michigan just flat out can’t hack it when the lights come on and the stakes are high.    

I live in Nashville and one of my co-workers calls on his school and he told me the other day that the talk around their campus is that he’s going to de-commit because he wants to go to bama.  He may not land there but apparently he wants to stay closer to home.  Happy Trails if that’s the case!

Bullet Point #5 is missing Damien Harris.  He was committed to Michigan early in that recruiting cycle and then de-committed before committing and signing with bama!
