|2 hours 25 min ago||Also like Greg Robinson||
A couple of deceptively-good-looking items on the resume surrounded by horribleness.
Dumb head coaches ignore the horribleness and think they're hiring only the good parts.

Are they the stock answers?
|1 day 14 hours ago||Cameron was driving force in recruiting Jim Harbaugh in '82||
That would have been an interesting feat, since Cameron was still in school at IU in 1982.
He didn't join the Michigan staff until 1984 as a GA.
Cam Cameron had literally NOTHING to do with the recruitment of Jim Harbaugh to Michigan.
|1 day 14 hours ago||Why is Cameron an OC at a major college program in 2016?||
For the same reason Greg Robinson was DC in 2009 at Michigan: some head coaches seem to be prone to making self-destructive staff decisions.
|1 day 15 hours ago||Comparing Dantonio to LSU with Saban to LSU||
The notion that it will happen because Nick went to LSU ignores one crucial fact:
When Saban went to LSU in 2000, he was 49 with no significant health issues.
Dantonio will be 61 in March 2017 and has had recent heart problems.
It's just plain dumb to think for five seconds that Dantonio will end up in Baton Rouge.

Any comparison between Paterno/PSU and Hoke/Michigan is nuts. The two situations aren't remotely similar.
|2 days 7 hours ago||Somewhat reminiscent of RR firing Casteel||
Kelly and Van Gorder have some history together—Van Gorder was LB coach at GVSU for two years under DC Kelly, and then was DC for one year there after Kelly was promoted to HC.
Van Gorder's resume reminds me of GERG's—some successful years as DC that are balanced by other years as DC or HC that are craptastic.

|2 days 13 hours ago||One thing I have never connected with Les Miles||
is the word "analyst." If he was remotely analytical, he would have never hired Cam Cameron in the first place. That was almost as dumb as RR hiring Greg Robinson.
He'll be 63 in November. No major university at the level of LSU is going to pay the crapton of money they would need to in order to get a guy that old, with his long record of coaching gaffes.
If LSU fires him at the end of the season, he'll retire from active coaching and some network will throw a bucket of money at him to be a color commentator.
|2 days 13 hours ago||Onwenu has played both DL and OL this season||
I can't remember another major recruit playing on both sides of the ball in the same season at those positions.
|2 days 23 hours ago||he is the soon to be forme head coach at Orwgon.||
Isn't Orwgon in Middle Earth? I think it's the Orwgon Fighting Orcs.

Harbaugh will sabotage his cappucino and espresso makers and shit in his bean grinders for good measure.

His views are interesting and I'd like to subscribe to his newsletter.
|3 days 4 hours ago||Dantonio's MSU has always wanted that game more than we did.||
Malarkey—you aren't in the heads of the players to know how much they want anything.
What we do know is that MSU has just been flat out better than we have almost every year since 2008, until last year.
|3 days 4 hours ago||"same place we got shut out?"||
Alumnus of where?
|3 days 12 hours ago||If Washington hammers AZ like I think they will||
RR's seat is going to get a bit more toasty in Tucson.
|3 days 12 hours ago||2008, probably the worst year in Michigan Football history.||
Tell us again how going 3-9 with a victory over the #9 team in the country is worse than going 1-7, getting shut out five times, and scoring a grand total of 21 points over the entire fucking season.

Which is to say not in the least.
|4 days 11 hours ago||Didn't think I'd like the black & white pix, but they're awesome||
But there's one glaring problem with one of the captions:
"Coach Harbaugh, just before leading his team down the tunnel into one of the largest stadiums in the country,..."
Your average 8-year old Michigan fan knows how the correct caption would read. Does anybody at the NYT actually research their topic before publishing?
|4 days 16 hours ago||No||
|5 days 1 hour ago||Missouri is a perfect addition the western division||
Not only does it already have a cross-conference rivalry with Illinois, it had a decades-long rivalry with Nebraska since both were in the old Big 8 since its inception.
Pitt is, or should be, a natural rival of PSU, and it also should be a natural rival with OSU since it's not that far from Columbus. Pitt would also be a natural rival with Rutgers, since both were in the Big East not too long ago.
I know that expanding the goddamn footprint to the NYC/Philly region of the east coast was paramount in Delaney's thinking, but I totally agree that the Big Ten is much more of a midwestern conference in character, and should have expanded that way. Iowa State, Colorado, Missouri, and Kansas are all AAU members, and if we'd taken them in plus Pitt and PSU, we'd be at 16 without needing Maryland or Rutgers.
Iowa and Iowa State are natural rivals, and the rivalry between Missouri and Kansas was historically one of the most heated in the country, regardless of their standing in football or basketball. Obviously adding Kansas for football doesn't do much, but adding Kansas for basketball would immediately ramp up BIG standing nationally, and Missouri and Pitt would help as well.
Plus, if Colorado was a conference member, I could then justify the occasional road trip out to Boulder.
|5 days 1 hour ago||Any discussion of expansion outside of AAU schools||
assumes a formal break with long-standing conference academic policies, and that's unlikely to happen.
And at the time Nebraska was invited to join the conference, it was an AAU member. By the time its formal entry occurred, it had been booted out by the AAU. Nebraska's chancellor stated publically that if NE hadn't been an AAU member at the time it was trying to get into the conference, no invitation would have been extended.
|5 days 10 hours ago||Add Missouri to the west division and Pitt to the east||
They're both members of the American Association of Universities so they fit the basic academic criteria for membership in the conference.
As long as we're fantasizing, it could be coupled with moving PSU and Rutgers out.
|6 days 59 min ago||The best kind of Michigan Difference||
Hail to an unsung hero.
|6 days 1 hour ago||"You look kinda tired."||
Whoever said this would shit his pants and collapse in gibbering exhaustion if he tried to match Brown's daily work schedule, or any other coach on the staff.
Coming from a sports journo makes it even more ridiculous.

Yep, damn right. Never would happen.
