Spread and Hurry up offenses aren't "gimmicks. Majority of Nfl teams have a spread attack, and the national championship was won with a spread offense, its all about playing to your teams strengths. Just have to field a good defense and be able to make adjustments on the fly!
While I believe the Lion's organization can be complete bafoons, I am thinking they are holding out for one of the coordinators on the AFC/NFC championship teams. Would make more sense in my opinion. I DO NOT WANT CALDWELL. He inherited Dungy's build, and sunk the ship after Peyton sat the season. Not a proven head coach!
If we come to play like we did against the Buckeyes, we will win no contest! Having said that, we better be able to stop the damn run. It will be a shootout otherwise!
Defense was fine for this game beyond a few blown reads. They will continue to get better. I am more concerned about our offensive line and blocking at this point!
Like mentioned above, any veteraned "no-huddle offense" can execute regardless of noise. Oregon is a great example of this. Our defense needs to be ready at all times!
Call audibles at the line, and for gosh sakes, don't run power I when the defense stacks the box. And when we can't run the ball, spread the defense out and pass.
Lastly, can we ever get a no huddle offense at certain points of the game? I swear, our defense looked gassed when Penn State went no huddle on us. If we don't fix that before Ohio State, we are screwed.
Better run blocking, more short passes, and defense needs to lineup faster during no huddle offenses. That will determine of we can get to a 10 win season!
Our team will only get better from here on out. Hoke, Borges, Mattison, and Wellman will make sure our cupboard will be overflowing with talented athletes on both sides of the ball!
That kid has battled injury, coaching transitions, and adversity multiple times(including that horrible Iowa call against him). For him to be named game MVP with that spectacular performance, the emotions finally came out. Definitely will miss him going into the 2012 season, just glad he left Michigan on a winning note!
Just remember in rivalry games, even the lowest scoring offenses tend to come alive and post up stats that are unheard of. They were pretty consistent as a whole the entire season and will continue to get better.
I just want Hoke to recruit faster defensive backs and safeties for 2012 and 13. We need great depth there for one on one matchups especially with the high pace passing offenses.
I hope he succeeds in Arizona. I personally love the read option offense(see Oregon for an example). If he can get a good defensive coordinator like Casteel, I see no reason he can't win 8-9 games a season in the Pac 12.
Im willing to give Borges more time. The problem in the Iowa game was turnovers and dropped passes. Denard actually made better decisions today than previous games. I would like to see him stop forcing passes and start tucking and running when nothing is there.
While the season isn't lost, we should be 9-0 right now. We are 7-2 because of stupid turnovers and offense struggles to get rolling early. Hopefully we can drop a bomb on Zook and company and gain the momentum back in our favor.
Iowa is going to come in pissed off next week. We need to carry over the momentum from the beating we gave the Boilermakers. If our offense plays mainly turnover free, we can win this game easily!

Penn State can only drop one game(Nebraska only) if we are not considering "The Game" at the end of the season. They have a tough schedule ahead, but their defense should keep them in games even with that crappy offense.

They pulled out the win tonight regardless of the controversial reversal of the touchdown. However, they still have to prove they can win on the road. Going into Lincoln to face Nebraska won't be easy, and I expect Nebraska's defense to step it up a notch!!!!!

Our offense works. The problem is we went wayyyyyyyyyyyy too conservative today especially in the 2nd half. Denard needed to be let loose more in this game and I was extremely dissappointed by the playcalling.
Will take the loss as a teaching point. It was bound to happen sooner or later. With a bye week(hopefully Denard's neck isn't wrecked from those asshole Spartans), they will regroup and get back on track to winning the Big Ten championship.
I don't see MSU winning the Legends division. Wisconsin is a loss, and Sparty plays like shit on the road period, so they will drop one to Nebraska!!!
I wouldn't mind Pat Fitzgerald. His teams have faired really well and could have defeated Auburn last year in the bowl game if not for the kicker getting injured.
The only changes we need to make are on the defensive staff and special teams. They have not done their job the past 3 years. Im not necessarily saying Greg needs to go, but everyone else should be given the boot.
Rich Rodriguez. For switching up systems and dealing with a black cloud over his head created by the media, he has done an excellent job here. He left WVU with plenty of talent, and the record still speaks for it this day.
He needs to sign that Extension/Raise now. I do not want him coming here and ruining what Rodriguez is building from the ground up. The critics will die down when they see how a team consisting of 2nd year starters on both sides of the ball makes a huge difference in the progress of this team.
Student athletes need to understand most social networking sites are full of keyboard cowboys. They will do anything to stir the pot and disway them from coming to a certain program.
I would agree with Barwis, chocolate milk is a great post workout drink. Heck, even oreos and milk is a great combination. Don't waste your money on protein supplements. I have done them all, and seen more gains from just eating real food.
