If we want a Pasadena game, we have to root for Georgia, right? If Alabama wins, that means Michigan and Washington are 1-2, and Rose Bowl goes with Washington, I think.
I can't shake the thought that J.J. McCarthy is going to determine the game- one or another. He can make throws that neither starting quarterback can. He has wheels that neither starting quarterback has. However, his decision making hasn't been there for an entire game.
He needs to play in spots to make the UGA defense consider his running ability, and his arm can threaten the deep pass with precision that Cade can't. I feel that he's the risk Michigan has to take if they are going to try to win instead of playing "not to lose."
No doubt. Penske is best in the business, and Q's been there for a couple years now. It was neat to see him get that splash and go with just a few laps to go, giving Will a chance to win.
Funny, Ramzy, how you want all the nuance and careful parsing of the story when it comes to your beloved Urban Meyer. You wish us to read about the "mother of an OSU commit" and how SHE loves Urban and how we should to. But you are guilty of creating the same feeding frenzy you now claim to detest. You just did it four years ago when an accusation (not arrest) was on your rival team's player.
Did Gibbons do something awful? Likely.
Did Urban do something awful in facilitating a domestic abuser? Likely. Yet now, Ramzy, you want all the nuance.
Logged in just to LOL at the guy who thinks that paying people a negotiable salary or allowing people to earn what the market allows instead of putting an arbitrary cap on their earnings is "socialism."
Yeah, Brando's blocked me too. Which is kinda funny, because I tweet back and forth with his radio friend in Louisiana PTNetherton, and he's a great guy.
Sorry, this is off the topic of this thread, but today's the first time I've tried to create an MGoBoard topic since the redesign and I can't find a way to the old "Create Content" button.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I've tried logging out and clearing cache, but that doesn't seem to do it.
Brian Cook and Johnny RBUAS were two amazing writers who helped me save my fandom. I was on a lonely island in the far reaches of the country, and those two, along with iBlogforCookies, helped save me. Their prose is unequaled.
Texas A&M was ranked higher than Nova in Kenpom defensive efficiency. I'm not saying that Michigan will light up Villanova with their shooting, but if Michigan did it against the Aggies, there is no reason it can't happen again tonight.
Is it really weird that the Orange Bowl win feels/ felt a little unsatisfying because of the way it was won? When it happened it was so anticlimactic, as I was anticipating the game continuing... and then it was over.
I guess it felt that Michigan fell into the victory instead of flatout making a play to win (as Bama had just scored a TD).
Don't get me wrong, I'm very glad we won, and very glad that Ian Gold, Tom Brady, and the rest of the seniors went out with a win.
Absolutely! This is also a good time to counter with Auburn's Pin and Pull play or a version of the bucksweep. If the WR motions and cracks that DE, you don't need a terrific block to keep him inside because of his momentum. Pull the playside guard, and get your runningback out in the flat.
Even the Rose Bowl win vs. Wazzu, we couldn't run the clock out with the running game and we had to punt the ball back to Ryan Leaf which prompted the 2 second spike controversy. If Lloyd's offense runs out the clock, that's never an issue.
There was plenty of this with Lloyd and was one of my biggest frustrations.
The Head and the Heart, started liking it after seeing Bluefoot Creative's work with it as the soundtrack. An northwest indie folk rock sort of feel. I also like Radical Face, but that began several years back.

This. Chromecast is the best, you can stream WatchESPN, and many other google things/ youtube (Wolverine Historian) to your tv with it. It's simple and cheap.

Which sucks, because I'd prefer Saban beat Kirby.
Brian, as always, your writing is why I began reading in the first place. Good to read your stuff.
Take THAT, Peyton Manning!

Exceptional ignorance you have shown today, Grog. Thanks for the contribution.
…
Wow. What a game.
"Sometimes when you're on..."
Sherrone Moore has wildly surpassed my expectations. I was skeptical, but what a job he has done!
Respect to you for that, sir.
Best wishes to Brian as well. I miss his spectacular writing which drew me to MgoBlog 16 years ago.
Man, that is true--about Braylon. There were many important drops over the course of his career, also including the 2002 Ohio State game.
While yours is probably a lower probably, I am scarred from years earlier, having seen Kordell Stewart throw a certain pass in 1994.
Some things are still worthwhile to return to 12 years later.
"There's only one thing left. Play. Fight. Win. Please."
Go Blue. Beat Ohio State.
I'm old. I want to win the Big Ten more than the National Championship. Beat Ohio State. Win the Big Ten. Win the Rose Bowl. = Happiness.

GTFO.

What buffoonery.
I say "no" to this abomination.
If you are changing the "I won't post about politics" rule, it seems odd to keep it in the FAQs.
Thank you.

Rob Thomas is an alright singer.
Will Ferrell movies are awful.
Notre Dame deserved the 1993 National Championship.

This is such good advice, clearly the best thing I've read today, and I've spent all day on the internet... oh.
Well, good advice anyway.
With our recent run of luck, we will get Tim Brando on the call. His broadcast of the Minnesota game last year was atrocious.
You seriously thought they strapped African-American service members to the barrage balloons?
Sigh.

If Ohio State does well, they are more likely to beat us for top recruits.

Why should I want them to succeed?
Best hype video since "Better Son or Daughter," don't @me.

1. Those kids aren't getting admitted at Michigan.
2. I don't want my basketball coach at Michigan recruiting/doing things which Calipari certainly does.
So, yeah, I'm glad we aren't getting those results, because I know what goes in the recipe.
