If you look at his number son

If you look at his number son the year, then yeah it won't blow you away. But his numbers since Josh Smith was waived are All Star caliber (still some inconsistencies night-to-night, but overall it has been drastically better), and he has been playing the best basketball of his career by far. The timing of this injury is absolutely terrible, and I felt physically ill watching him writhe around on the ground in pain. :-(

It was so much fun watching him during this Pistons run, and I really grew fond of the guy. But what's done is done, and I won't write this team off yet. In SVG we trust.

Agreed. Cardale Jones'

Agreed. Cardale Jones' responsibility was basically to become a hander-offer and to truck dudes over with his frame. He showed off his strong arm, but there was not nearly as much responsibility on him as there was on Barrett in the offense, as Elliott didn't produce the numbers he did until late.

JT Barrett DEFINITELY hasn't

JT Barrett DEFINITELY hasn't lost his starting spot yet. I can't imagine them giving all his snaps to Cardale. In fact, I fully expect him to still be the starter going into camp and they'll battle it out from there. Likely scenario is they end up doing a Florida Chris Leak/Tebow type of thing.

As for Braxton, what he should do is turn himself into an H-Back or tailback and take a hint from Denard. But he doesn't strike me as a dude who's smart enough to realize he'll never make it in the pros as a QB, so he's most likely to transfer.

What about Frank Lampa.......

What about Frank Lampa....... oh, nevermind.

Eh, when Urban was with

Eh, when Urban was with Florida, Saban ended up wrecking Urban Meyer's teams near the end of Meyer's tenure there. I thought Bama would take this game because I figured that Saban has had Meyer's number.

This was a winnable game for Bama if their offense was better. I thought Lane Kiffin had an excellent year calling plays but man his fourth quarter was brutal along with Blake Sims.

hahahaha trying to credit

hahahaha trying to credit Schefter really? Are they freaking serious? Absolute joke reporting from them, and ever so typical of ESPN.

Weber flipping from Michigan

Weber flipping from Michigan to Ohio State back to Michigan would be quite interesting, that's for sure!

WE HAVE THE TWO BEST JH'S IN

WE HAVE THE TWO BEST JH'S IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think it is.

If we get Harbaugh AND we get

If we get Harbaugh AND we get Nike back???

oohh my.... God.... *faints*

SVG definitely tried very

SVG definitely tried very hard to do so. But they would have had to package a first rounder with him in all likelihood - something they can't afford to do again after just losing one because of the Ben Gordon trade.

On top of that, the Pistons would only have gotten bad contracts in return, which would have been just as much as a handicap on the Pistons' cap as waiving him and using the stretch provision.

It's also worth pointing out that the new TV deal should alleviate the $5.4M/year the Pistons will have to pay until 2020. Salary cap has risen every year and is bound to take a good leap up with the massive TV deal they just signed.

Well he's only going to play

Well he's only going to play if Jimmy Clausen gets broken tomorrow. Which is also quite likely.

Yeah I was thinking I'd start

Yeah I was thinking I'd start Tate over Hilton. Yahoo Sports already took Hilton's projected points to 0, and it makes sense he won't play since Indy already clinched.

My RB's are Joique Bell and Jamaal Charles. Latavius Murray on the bench. I had Denard for awhile until I dropped him for another WR when he got hurt, and my second round pick was Montee Ball who clearly didn't work out.

I didn't have this many WR's until this week, though, when I read more and more about HIlton & Jones.

Outside of Charles, I had a revolving door of RB's for most of the year since Ball didn't pan out, but it worked in the end.

Made the championship game as

Made the championship game as an underdog. My team is pretty loaded, but I was seeded low mostly due to me having absolutely shit luck most of the year... lost a handful regular season games by 5 points or less and lost Jamaal Charles for the beginning of the year.

BUT anyway, of course it can't end easily! Looks like TY Hilton and Julio Jones will either both be out, or one of them will be in. And if one of them is in, likely as a decoy....

Thankfully, I have a pretty good bench of WR's in Golden Tate (who I expect will carve up the Bears), Kelvin Benjamin, Brandon Lafell, and I picked up Harry Douglas from waivers.. OBJ has been in my flex (THANKFULLY), but it will be hard as hell to decide who I want to start.

I almost hope Hilton/Jones are just ruled out so I can move ahead with bench options instead of running the risk of whether or not they'll just be decoys for their teams.

So in any event, you guys got any thoughts? Which ones are best out of my bench of Tate/Benjamin/Lafell/Douglas? And do you think I should start them even if Hilton/Jones are active?

I would have traded a 2 point

I would have traded a 2 point conversion one year ago for those miserable years... :-(

Since he's a professional, of

Since he's a professional, of course that's his goal to honor a professional agreement. It'd be very frowned upon to say that he does not intend to follow through with a commitment, and it is largely assumed anyway that the 49ers front office will force him out anyway.

He's been ambivalent through

He's been ambivalent through it all, reporting other takes but not really providing a strong stance on it at all. Schefter might be considering that if he's strong at all one way or another, it could really hurt his credibility. If, say, he reports too strongly that Harbaugh is staying in the pros and JH comes, Michigan fans would be all over him especially because he's an alum.

But if he emphasizes too strongly in favor of JH to UM and he were wrong, he'd especially take a hit in the eyes of other NFL journalists who may call him biased for his alma mater.

All in all, he's much safer if he just remains neutral.

The very next sentence

The very next sentence acknowledges that those reports were debunked.
