I’ve been dealing with Rodgers (and Favre before) doing things like this to the Bears my entire life. But this one hurt real, real bad. You’d think that as a Michigan/Bears/Cubs fan I would learn never to get my hopes up, but I haven’t. I am completely defeated.
Whitey Morgan and the 78’s; some good Flint boys. I don’t like the majority of new country music, but these guys don’t play that pop country bs. Give em a look if you’re into that 70’s outlaw country sound.
The first ever organized hockey game actually ended in an all out brawl.. It’s literally been a part of the game since its existence. Brian Burke once said “I have this fear that if we don’t have guys looking after each other that the rats will take this game over”. He was exactly right. There are one, maybe two enforcers left in the game, but “pests” who take liberties and run guys are still around because they can skate and there’s no one to hold them accountable. Juniors are slowly getting rid of fighting and it’s having a trickle up effect and it’s not good for the sport IMO. Plus fights between two tough guys are a lot to fun to watch!
This sounds all too familiar. I have a buddy who attended Clemson University and he became friends with a guy whose dad owned a huge chicken farm in South Carolina. So my buddy went and stayed with his new pal for a few days. One day he went down to check out the chicken farm and he met a guy who worked there who did not think Illinois was a state. He thought Chicago was a state... But he had never heard of Illinois.
Sad, but expected. Can't expect this young man to pass up that money. Will always remember Jabrill and his time at Michigan, not sure I've ever seen a more exciting football player in the maize and blue. Best of luck to him at the next level!
Hank Jr., Willie Nelson, David Allan Coe, Kris Kristofferson.. About all I can think of. Very sad. But like Merle said.. "The good times ain't over for good."

Harbaugh is a big Lou Holtz fan. I recall him tweeting about how upset he was that Holtz was no longer on ESPN College Football Final. Plus, nutty as he is, Holtz is a great man.
He's slowly becoming one of my all time favorite Wolverines, in any sport. Such a great kid off the field and his on-field play speaks for itself. I love him like I love(d) Denard and Kovacs and others.
Can only imagine the fight that fish put up! I've caught 3 pounders that had my rod tip bent and was pulling drag for what seemed like ever. Love love smallmouth, favorite fish to catch.
Last night I went to the Mizzou vs. Florida game in Columbia and I had a chance to talk to many Florida fans. They couldn't say enough good things about this Michigan team and most of them agreed that Harbaugh, not Mcelwain, is coach of the year right now.
"I was born... In Saginaw, Michigan" A great tune! I am not from Saginasty, but everyone on my dads side of the family is, so I consider myself an honorary Saginaw boy.
Did they? That's a joke. Both teams looked very impressive again on Saturday, Northwestern will be ranked inside the top 15, Michigan most likely in the top 20.. yet the game is on BTN? That's ridiculous.
How could I forget? Believe he lead the Bears in tackles last year. Met him at a restaurant in Libertyville last year.. He took 20 minutes out of his day to talk with me. Great guy.
Obviously Harbaugh will have a strong say. Now maybe he doesn't go with these same exact unis, but I'll bet they're nothing flashy, something with that old school feel. I doubt there will be any piping on our jerseys in the Harbaugh era.
Watching Michigan fall to Texas in the Rose Bowl in 2005. Was on a family vacation in Brainerd, Minnesota. My Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt, Uncle, and cousins were all Gophers. They wanted to get on my nerves so they heckled me allll game long. After Texas hit that field goal I cried my eyes out (I was only 9). My family did feel bad, but still. That one really hurt.
Crazy. Same exact thing with me. I remember my little brother asking me if I would drive him to Ann Arbor for the game (about 5 1/2 hours from me) and I didn't even hesitate saying no. First game I ever turned down. Also didn't watch it. In my 18 years of life, that was the first game I've ever missed. Was a sad sad time. Went and watched a high school football game instead, never even thought about that game.
This is tough because of all the fantastic genres.. So I'll list my 3 favorite songs from 3 different genres:
Rock: Babe I'm Gonna Leave You-Zeppelin
Country: It's Been A Good Year For the Roses- George Jones
Motown: I Wish It Would Rain- The Temps
Being born in the late 90's, I woulda grown up on pretty crappy music, God bless my pops for showing me this wonderful decade of music, as well as music from the 50's and 70's. I dig on some music from the 80's, but not a fan of the majority of if. I also really got into the 90's music over the past 5 or so years.. Another great decade of music.
That Denard figure is incredible! I know I'd love to see more of your work. As for me, I love to fish. Such a fun time for me, it's also great to get away from the world.
