That's been true of away jerseys for years. The classic 80s-90s jersey with the Northwestern stripe had the same idea. This is a throwback to the 70s, of course, but it is also basically the same idea as the one-off Rose Bowl jerseys from the 1/1/93 game that Wheatley put to the sword. Watch the highlights.

The original jersey idea was even plainer, white with no trim and no maize anywhere. This is a huge upgrade.

Very nice. I'd be all over it if Michigan was still with them.

I hope Nike does something similar next year with the road jerseys. No piping nonsense. Just like this one.

How many people are not buying buying Michigan apparel this year waiting for the Nike gear next year?  When do you think the Nike gear will become available next year?  Would love to be able to ask for a jersey for Father's Day June 19, 2016.

I'm not buying adidas Michigan anything--I haven't for years. I still get fan gear--I just got a "Go Blue / M Club Supports You" banner beach towel. Just not adidas stuff 'cause it all sucks so bad. I'm going to blow so much cash when the Jumpman stuff comes out. Hoodies, jerseys, tees, hats. Yeah.

I think the new line will be out next 8/1.

Unless Michigan wins a national title in football, basketball, hockey, or softball I won't be buying any more Michigan shirts until the Nike stuff comes out. I have more than enough shirts to get me through.

I will wait until the Nike gear comes out. The only thing I am looking at getting is a new hoodie. I have an Adidas 1/4 zip but it is more fleece than I like so I was looking at their tech material hoodies and I don't like them as much as my Nike packets hoodie my wife got me last Christmas. I have always preferred Nike to Adidas simply for their sizing differences.

I bought my last Adidas jersey this spring which was JH home jersey. Only getting a couple things Adidas Welcome Home Coach Tee & sweatshirt and that about it. Aug 1 2016 is when Nike finally takes over for Adidas wish it was sooner.

One is compelled to call this a "Penn State jersey with mustard stains on the sleeves" but then again, compare Alabama, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Nebraska away whites. OU has "OKLAHOMA" on theirs but the others are pretty similar with red/crimson numbers. Even USC might fall into this group.
