This sucks:

"Zirbel out for season, maybe longer
Guard Cory Zirbel will miss the rest of the season, Rodriguez said, which wasn't a surprise.

But then he added that Zirbel may not be able to play football again because of a knee injury suffered in training camp.

"We're not sure if it's going to be career ending or not," Rodriguez said.

A redshirt junior from Kentucky, Zirbel was slotted to start at right guard this year."

If we're to trust the words of actual football people, he was going to be our best lineman by default. 

 Oh well, at least we have John Ferrara.

Gotta feel for the kid. Sticks with Michigan despite never getting a chance under Lloyd (not criticizing Lloyd here, not even sure if Zirbel was more to blame for that), gets a new start with DickRod, embraces it and works hard and then gets hurt again. It would be a shame if he can't get back. Best of luck to him.
