I'm glad Simpson has his steps down when performing the Hook, because otherwise he would be a Blue Traveler.

(Thanks for making the video!)

I love how you did it chronologically so that you can see the narrative quickly evolve from "wow, what an interesting novelty" to "no, that's just what we expect him to do"

question: when did he develop that shot, and has he ever used it on film before this season?

I am just concerned that in this video he always fakes left, then goes to the right to make the hook shot. I hope he is developing some kind of counter because TT will be all over it. But then again, if he can hook it in above their defense, will it matter?

Great video. Only two things could make it better:

1. A brief clip of the "hook tracker" graphic from that already legendary Maryland game.

2. A quicker supercut with the audio from this in the background:

I love Dan Bonner's exhilaration at any big play.  Simpson had a pretty standard layup against FSU last year where he was yelling, that Maryland game had him on the floor, and this weekend, who knows what will happen?

Wonderful work!  I consider this his "Bank Shot", as in $$$ in each shot.  This may give him a better chance at a pro career in a couple of years.  Also a skyhook, I guess.  Perhaps it's better that he's not another six inches taller -- this is so unexpected from someone his height.  Wish he could get such success from his 3 point tries!
