Your prediction - Who scores the first TD this season?

I'm going to go outside the box and say it'll be Patterson on a QB scramble up the middle.  After Shea hits 3-4 passes on the drive, MTSU's defense is going to be running around like headless chickens looking for receivers, which will leave a huge lane up the middle for Patterson to waltz into the endzone.

In fact, my gut is telling me that Michigan is going to have an amazingly weird day for QBs and scoring, like 4 rushing TDs between Patterson and McCaffrey.  Call it a hunch.

Michigan has lost 341 games since its first season in 1879.

I started school at UM in 1971, and since then Michigan has lost 155 games. That means I've observed 45% of the losses that have occurred in the history of our program.

25 of those losses that I've watched have been in bowl games.

Bench Mason. in a surprise jumbo package on 4th and one, rumbles 48 yards for the TD, carrying 3 defenders on his back.  Instead of "speed in space", Gattis introduces "size in place" as his calling card.

MTSU gets the ball first. Dax covers the slot. First play of the game, MTSU tries to throw a slant. In an answer to all our prayers, Dax uses his incredible speed and athleticism to jump in front of the receiver and takes it to the house for a pick six.

DPJ

MTSU wins the toss, elects to go on Defense.  We take the kickoff, line up on the first play from scrimmage, Patterson drops back, airs it out to DPJ who breaks free from his coverage and takes it to the house, shocking the hell out of the crowd that we

1. passed on first down, and that we

2. scored that quickly on our way to a rout.
