Are you kidding me?! That was the right call (infield back). Odds are against you in getting out of the inning without a run, so you keep them back to ge the Double-Play and cede a run.

If I had to choose one, it would be McClendon

Name my someone better (or even equal) to Leyland that we could get.

And why would be want to leave? Management there isn't awful and the weather is nice.

Amazingly enough the great Bobby Valentine is available.........or even Manny Acta of his 3-58 record post All Star break with the Tribe. But you'll need to move fast if you want Manny cause for reasons known only to them....the Marlins are actually considering hiring him.

The problem becomes who are you going to get that's any better. The Giants did what they were supposed to do. They won at home. Now it's our turn to do the same and hope to steal game 6 or 7.

We didn't get swept in 06, i'm assuming you took a spot on the bandwagon after Maggs walkoff.

Sure why not, but calling for Leyland to be fired is beyond asinine, he very well might retire at the end of the year but why does it matter what his loyalty to Raburn was during the regular season? Does that have any affect on how the team is playing now? We're in the spot where we want to be, bitching about the games 1-162 is meaningless when you make it to the Series...

You still haven't answered my question, what relevance does sticking with Raburn too long have to do with our struggles right now?

Bitching about comprehension, playing him during the regular season has zero bearing on our struggles at the plate right now, it doesn't freaking matter lol.

And you missed the point that i've had to repeat 3 times now, it doesn't matter what happened in the regular season. Please tell me who he's not putting in a position to succeed right now. Maybe Laird instead of Avila right now? I mean that's the only one I could see people bitching about at this moment.

Great. It is within your rights to give up. If the tigers bring it back and win the world series you DO NOT get to celebrate. Is that fair?

(Still, your point stands, & I agree: looks like time stick a fork in 'em)

People blaming coach for the offense getting two hits.
I have been trying to think of more frustrating ways to lose, and it has been pretty difficult.
But I am the eternal optimist; Undefeated at home in the postseason, and a way better record there in the regular season. Letttts Gooooooo!

This is a good way to look at it. Eventually the breaks have to start going the Tigers way and going home might be the best medicine for them. Very good home team this year.

You just said "I cannot name a better owner in sports than Illitch."
You do know he owns the red wings, right?

You blamed the NHL lockout on Bettman and the owners. I asked you if you knew that Ilitch owned a NHL team when you called him one of the best owners in sports. Those two statements that you made seem to be at odds with each other.
You need to calm down a bit over there.

This is why I wanted to play the Cardinals... Frankly, I was scared of the Giants pitching from the beginning of the series, and you can't ask for better pitching. Gotta hit the ball now.

Good season boys. Too bad it has end so tragically. PItching goes blind and the bats go cold. FUCKING seven day layoff!!!
Strike zone seems a lot tighter than in the ALCS. Leyland didn't help this one, Smyly was off and Dotel was the wrong guy. Why not pitch Benoit? No bats and no pen. We lose in 5 at best.
October 26th, 2012 at 3:02 AM ^
they gave up 2 FUCKING runs!!! how do you blame the pitching?

I didn't even know the World Series was happening right now. I thought it ended weeks ago. Baseball needs to just die and never return.
