Picture from spring game shows matte finish but not as much of a curve on the wing. I too think the matte finish has been around for at least a year

The matte finish has been around since the switch to Jordan in 2016. I don't know how to post individual photos so this link to a recent history of Michigan uniforms will have to do.

Why do people keep calling this a matte finish? It isn't -- it's satin. There is clear sheen, just not as much as gloss.

Here we go ... the color and finish ok. The curve up ... wrong. Why isn't there any paying fan involvement on these bad decisions. Kinda like ... Why are we even playing ND and why is ND is the Big 14 in hockey??? A team that picks their conference for their own convenience

ND isn’t “picking their conference at their own convenience. They’re in the ACC in every sport that the ACC sponsors with the exception of football.
The Big Ten is the ONLY major conference that sponsors ice hockey. By your logic, every team non-B1G team that has a D1 hockey team is picking conferences at their own convenience

Being in the conference for every single sport that it sponsors and going independent in football isn’t “choosing a conference at their own convenience.” They’re literally an ACC team that decides to be Independent for football only.

It’s definitely got a modern look/upgrade but I like it.

This is one of those things I would never think of changing, but I think it actually looks better with the slight curve. It's also hard to tell so I'll reserve judgement for when I get a good look at them in action.
