Will Tieman and Coach Phil
Couldn't pull in WWJ for the postgame show once back to my car and had the thought to listen to the MSU post game show on WJR. Will Tieman is the Sparty PBP guy and he referred to our acting head coach as Phil Martini
Probably doesn't justify its own thread but it was just too funny to not to bring it up.
And....?????????????????
I like that nickname....its gonna backfire on sparty.
The typical Sparty only knows booze and couches.
wolverinebutt, in my experience Spartys are more Southern Comfort and less Martini
Will Tieman and Izzo after the game ...
I prefer using sparty. No need to go through the extra effort of pressing the Shift key!
Am I the only one that is disturbed at the sight of three olives in that martini? Oh the horror!
I listened to their post game show after the game Mo broke Nick Ward's ankles. Schadenfreude at it's finest, he was legitimately sad. I don't recall him saying his stupid 'hE gOt iT" catchphrase after that one.
MSU's coach must be SparTeeny then?
Will Thyme & Tom Isn't.
and Justin Feagin
He is the perfect martini
Just like Sparty to have their undies in a bunch, for a decade, after someone (SI?) referred to a former (douche nozzle) coach as ‘Mike Dantoni’.
Saw this on Twitter last night:
Phil Martelli is now 1-0 against MSU and 1 win against Sparty away from a 10 year $95M contract.
Will Tieman is the worst play by play guy in the country, and it has NOTHING to do with being a homer (which he is). His descriptions of the action give so little insight into what is actually happening on the court, it's almost comical.
They probably stir their martinis.
I like my martinis and my Martelli's extra dirty.
The spartan martini...
4 oz everclear
1 oz light beer
2 tears
a grape
EDIT: a "sour grape"
Where are they gonna find a grape? It'll be a lint ball from the couch, which will make it actually dirty.
Last night Izzo was shaken by Dickinson’s stirring…
Does anyone remember when Tieman was U-M’s PBP man? Pretty sure it was during the Amaker era but there’s nary a mention of it on the internet. I want to say it was because he owned the production company U-M was using at the time. Did I just dream this or can anyone confirm lol.
