Just perusing through scout and came upon this prospect:

I haven't heard of him before. Any info?

I think it may be possible that he is in a darren kitchen situation?

Who is Darren Kitchen?
(This is going to be a long and confusing thread for me, I can already tell.)

He's a CB recruit who, from my limited knowledge, is high on Michigan now. I have no inside info btw

Here's an mgolink that will help with you recruiting questions....

....that's the mgoblog recruiting board which has updates on every recruit being targeted by um, as far as mgoblog knows at least. Mods correct me if I'm wrong here.

The recruiting board, of course! Now I kinda feel like an idiot. Sorta like this kitten, but not as adorable:

I have no idea who this guy is but the last Michigan player with the name Woodson worked out ok, so I am all in for another Woodson.

I don't know anything about him. But since we're always getting this kind of thread now, I'd like to know if anyone's got any info on what Charles Grodin has been doing lately????

He's not in a Daren Kitchen situation. He's been given an offer, and Michigan is pursuing him. The Rivals mods say that he's an ILB prospect, although I think he's more of an OLB.

At 6-1 190 (according to Rivals), he'd have to bulk up quite a bit to play ILB, and probably would lose some of his speed.
Of course, Scout lists him at 6-2 215, so who really knows.

Yes, that's a pretty big difference. The inch of height isn't huge (though it helps) but 25 lbs is big. An LB coming in at 190 has a ways to go, one coming in at 215 isn't far from playing time.

for some type of Woodson-Long union and the beasts that would supply talent to every position. Actually, every position except QB--Shoelace does not require any genetic improvement.

Seems like he has some good size. Hopefully we can pick up Frost and maybe this kid for our weak LB corp. Need to replenish the LB position since Ezeh and Mouton are definitely gone after this season.

A future All American line backer at Michigan and National Champion.

I am pro Woodson maximization.

His reputation is expanding larger than Michigan Stadium.
He wears a helmet - to protect other players.
He once missed a tackle - just to see what it felt like.
He plays offense, defense and special teams - at the same time.
He is . . . the most interesting recruit in the world.
