Who's That Recruit -- Round 2

Submitted by Seth on
For those who read the "Guess the next committment 2/17" thread, you already know the drill. For those who didn't, here's how it works: I post the basic recruiting figures for a former recruit who chose Michigan. I'll give the school, position, 40-times, and a coach's description, but no pics, no year. First to correctly name the recruit gets the self-assurance that comes from being recognized as better than other people. I'll try to make these regular. Winner of Round 1 (Leon Hall): Leviathan ROUND 2 Receiver Breinigsville (PA) Parkland Rivals: 5 Stars, No. 5 WR, No. 36 overall Scout: 4 Stars, No. 9 Ath Ht: 6-foot-4 Wt: 236 lbs. Forty: 4.55 secs Bench max: 235 pounds Squat max: 350 Vertical: 38 inches Offers: Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, many others YMRMFSPA: David Terrell Attended Parkland High School, where he was a three-year starter as a receiver, safety and linebacker. He was rated the sixth-best player in the Northeast by the G&W Recruiting Report and was listed as the third-best athlete in the nation by Super Prep. He earned Associated Press All-State, Morning Call All-Area and All-Mountain Valley Conference first-team accolades as a senior. He received All-State and All-Mountain Valley Conference second-team honors as a junior. He was the Lehigh Valley's career receptions leader and receiving touchdown leader. He caught 114 passes for 1,928 yards and 22 touchdowns during his career. He also rushed seven times for 21 yards, recorded 131 tackles, five sacks and five stops behind the line of scrimmage, and caused and recovered three fumbles. He also intercepted seven passes, returning one for a touchdown. He had 50 receptions for 750 yards and nine touchdowns and recorded 65 tackles with three interceptions as a senior safety and linebacker. As a junior, he caught 21 passes for 354 yards and 11 touchdowns.

We're kind of going on the honor system. But yeah, Round 3 no more high school. Stats and description. Since there's no real reward aside from personal vindication of years of following recruiting, anyone who Googles is basically just wasting their own time.

I had no clue, but my interest was peaked and I was shocked to discover that T. Mass was that highly rated! Queue the discussion: Ratings do not matter! Look at Mike Hart... Could not resist.

was one of some very talented high schoolers who made a exodus out of PA to the chagrin of (most not all) psu faithful. Of course, the standard line would be used...we weren't really looking forward to him committing or we have bigger fish to fry...yeah right! When PA kids would choose Michigan over psu...going to the bwi board would be priceless

would massaquoi have been able to play LB in college, or maybe even DE? i just know that he didn't pan out so hot in college cos is hands were pretty suspect; and i can't help but notice that he was 6'4 236 with a slowish fake 40 time. j/c.

We have spelling police now. Wow this is great. Do you proof read all the blogs Magnus? I am just interested in getting my mark before the weekend. I need to make sure I have time to redeem myself before report cards come out.

...the guy I corrected said thanks (in Spanish) but you have a problem with it? Interesting. If I were interested in correcting all the grammar and spelling on here, I could start with your abysmal knowledge of comma usage. But I was just trying to help a guy out, since it's a common misspelling of an infrequently used word. Some people read things to learn. Obviously, you prefer to pop out of the woodwork only when you want to criticize (see: RichRod, Promote).
