Where to find 2010 end of season strength of schedule rankings?

Submitted by StephenRKass on

The BCS caliber team thread below got me wondering:  is there a 2010 end of season strength of schedule ranking?

I suppose it doesn't really matter, but I think Michigan faced some pretty good teams this year. Truly, our defense lost several games for us. In particular, our decimated defensive secondary, caused several losses. If you add Warren & Woolfolk to this year's team, we end up at least 9 - 3, and there aren't so many calls for RR & Gerg's head on a platter.

In a way, I'm fine with 7 - 5, given the circumstances. Not happy, but fine. I'm just a broken record, but 2011 is the year that will tell us a lot about RR & Michigan.

It's a shame they got murdered with the schedule and aren't even bowl eligible. I remember an interview with the head coach around the time of the TCU game. It took place at Jerryworld and he didn't want to add it cause they were already playing Boise State, but his philosophy is to schedule hard. (Plus Jerry probably threw a couple million his way.) I know it's easy to complain about scheduling cupcakes, but this can be what happens if you work in the other direction. Even a good team can only take so much punishment.

.....is the kicker here. One can discount the SEC's proclamation of playing tough teams "week-in and week-out" when they play Sun-belt teams as their OOC, but when a team like OreSt. takes on BSU and TCU(generally regarded as very good teams every year, regardless of whether one thinks they belong in BCS games or not), and then has 9 conference games to play, we see the results when the scheduling works against you. OreSt. is not nearly as bad as their record suggests.

I liked our scheduling this year except for the FCS school. I would have preferred to schedule a Sun-belt team along with BG as our cupcakes, with ND as usual, and UConn(a team generally thought to be good at the start of the season). The B10 schedule we had this year was tough enough considering we didn't play Minny and had tOSU in Columbus.

I'm just thinking that at least this year, given our defense especially, we could pretty much expect losses to OSU & Wisconsin, probably Mich. State as well, and not be too surprised at losses to Iowa & PSU.

And I did another search without end of season. Both searches were loaded with pre-season strength of schedule. I just did another search, and it actually brought up this post on mgoblog, of all things! Before Googling, I searched mgoblog to make sure it wasn't posted sometime in the last week or so.

So tell me how to search more effectively. What is your engine of choice? How would you phrase a search for 2010 college football strength of schedule rankings at the end of the season? Maybe judicious use of quotes?

......we faced three BCS bowl-bound teams, and another that went 11-1 on the season. I, personally, would love to see UConn beat OU in the Fiesta. Other than OreSt., I wonder how many other teams faced 3 or more BCS bowl teams.
