Where are you watching the Utah game?

Submitted by Steve-a-wolverine-o on

Open thread on what your plans are for the Utah game.

I will be at a 70,000 person campout in the Black Rock Desert for the game.  I am wondering if anyone reading this will be there too.  If so, do you have an RV, satellite, TV, and are watching the game?  Can I crash?  I come with gifts!

Going to the game with my brother who is also M Alum, a clean four years after me and whose last game in attendance was in 1998.

That game.

None since, which is just what it is but seriously -- Carr NC game to Harbaugh's first game at Michigan.  Stormed the field in '97 vs Ohio State as student as well ...

MoJo, too

Probably be at home. Being at a bar is going to open myself up to grave danger. Having alcohol that close will not help me make it into work the day after.

Regardless of the outcome.

+1 for the tear up. Whether at the stadium, home, sports bar, or friend's/family place, I always get a tear going for the season opener...and vs. the Nuts. Weird ass feeling though as I also take a few swings through the air, feeling like I've got the gear on and will be taking the field (wife gives me plenty of space). What a rush!

Yeah I just reconnected my cord that was cut 7 months ago. I'll take the certainty that I can watch every ounce of Michigan Harbaugh, free NFL Sunday Ticket, free Genie, $200 visa gift card, B1G Network and a bj from DirecTV all at $55/month. My wife was disappointed even though cutting the cord was my idea, but she can suck it.

Smoking a pork roast all day while kids are at school. Then enjoying that with many beers, hopefully celebratory. Sleeping in the next day since I took it off for a nice 4 day weekend.

I'll be at home as tickets to SLC after two August vacations are now probably comfortably out of reach when it comes to personal budget. That being said, an offer I made about a month ago stands - if you're stuck in Wayne County and need a place to watch the game, there will likely be seating available in the family room.

That place is a madhouse. Super fun when you're 23. Not so much when you're 40 like me. I've discovered in my old age that I care MUCH more about the actual game than socializing with others or hitting on women. So I'll be watching it from my couch where I can hear the broadcast and not feel guilty about not socializing with people around me. If the game gets down to the wire I'll get up from my couch and stand anxiously about 3 feet away from the television. That's the plan and I'm sticking to it.

most of my friends have ripped me for it.

I've said that if the Lions ever made it to the Super Bow thenl I would watch it alone by myself as I want to take it every bit of it in and not miss a thing. These games are way too important to me to now watch them in a social setting with all of the distractions. I figure I can go out 330 days a year to watch a game but there's only about 25- 30 days like this.
