Here's an amazing number. Michigan is a combined 13-0 against the other WCWS teams over the past 2 years.

3-0 against Alabama last year. 2-0 against florida state last year and 2-0 this year. 2-0 against Georgia last year. 1-0 against UCLA last year and 1-0 this year. 1-0 against LSU last year. 1-0 against Oklahoma this year.

Be careful using this, though:  it's pretty strange that a post on MLive (a local "paper"/website) has the schedule listed in Central Time.  Michigan's game is 9:30 EDT, the winner plays tomorrow at 9:30 EDT and the loser plays at 2:30 EDT on Saturday.

They will need to

1. Have all the hitters come up BIG..Christners bat is coming around and hopefully the game tying single in the SR by Susalla will get her back on track..Monty is getting HOT at the righjt time and now we have to figure out who the #8 hitter should be..Canfield has promise but hasnt really delivred lately nor has Vargas. Hutch needs to find a hot bat in the 8 slot because Ramirez always seems to find a way to get on.

2. Our pitching while good is not dominant nor strong enough to fend off all these great hitting teams..Betsa, against quality offenses gives up 3, 4, 5 runs a game so we will need to be scoring in the 6-7 runs per game throughout.. UNLESS we get 11 strikeout Betsa and a pitches duel type game..(not likely but with Betsa you nevre really know)..Message to Betsa..DONT get rattled so easily if you give up a hit or a HR..stay calm

3.DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE....we have a realllllllly good defense...

4.potentially 2nd game against OK at OK in game 2 will be THE KEY to a NC should we get by LSU (not a gimmie)

5. Remember Last year and how close we came and be HUNGRY!

and come up with more hits when they have runners in scoring postion. I too hope Susalla can get it going. She looked almost uncomfortable at the plate during the regional and SR. Also agree need someone in that #8 slot to start hitting. I might give Vargas the nod there as the DP.

Pitching does worry me a little bit. Betsa is good, but not as dominate as I would like to see going into the WCWS and you need that to win it all. Sara is good in relief and a good change as long as she can keep the ball down.

Will be fun to watch it all start tonight.

give me an update on the "Bama game?  I am in Seoul this week and Shanghai next week.  ESPN does not allow international streams.

What is the status of our game?

So is there any limit on when a line would be drawn between continuing on tonight vs. rescheduling for tomorrow?

At this point, the earliest we could possibly start would be 11:30 CT.
