WBB rolls MSU by 20 in front of 11,068 at Crisler

Despite being scheduled DURING the MBB over there, a #CrashCrisler crowd of 11,068 filled Crisler Center to watch Michigan Women's Basketball take on MSU.

The first 3 quarters were tight. Michigan seemingly controlled the game but MSU just wouldn't go away. Michigan only led by 3 at half, 35-32 and 63-59 after the 3rd quarter.

The final stanza was the strongest for the Maize & Blue. Sophomores Amy Dilk and Naz Hillmon took the game over in the 4th quarter, giving Michigan a 15-0 run. The Wolverines outscored MSU 26-10 in the 4th allowing Michigan to roll comfortably, 89-69.

Dilk led Michigan with 23 points and Naz Hillmon notched a double double with 21 points and 12 boards.

Michigan's 20 point win is the second largest margin of victory they've ever had against MSU, only second to a 26-point rout back in 2017-18 (74-48 Michigan).

Michigan is now 11-3 (2-1 B1G) and will head down to the hole and face Ohio State on Thursday night.

Was at the game today with my daughter (and another daughter was there with her H.S. team). It was a lot of fun. The game was entertaining and it was a large, engaged crowd. A really good time!!

Brought my daughter who had me wondering the whole time if she's into it, until we got home and she ran into the house waving her pom pom and singing The Victors.

Usually the upper bowl is curtained off for WBB games. Being this edition of Crash Crisler wasn't a sellout from the outset I'm guessing that's why they only did the lower bowl.

Or they just did it on the cheap and are saving the full arena promotions for the big MBB home games.

They "wouldn't go away" because we kept missing open looks in the paint and committing unforced turnovers. When we stopped doing that ==>>16-0 run.
