Watching the Loins is like ______

I don't think I've ever witnessed an NFL teams look so bad.

it's like...impossible.  and not just because they are the worst pro franchise in the galaxy, but also because they are on a 'mystery' channel.   if the NFL is losing viewers, and it is, it would seem very ill-advised to have games on alternative networks that many (most?) don't get.  its like the NFL equivalent of BTN+.

you weren't kidding.  scoring drives here.   yeesh.  but at least they missed an XP.  if brent mussberger was announcing the game he would be touting how that could be the most important play of the game.

Watching the Lions is strangely comforting for me. I like having a team to follow that i have absolutely no expectations of winning or emotional investment in the outcome each week.

No matter what’s going on in the world, you know the Lions are going to be somewhere between outright terrible and well below average. That kind of consistency is rare, and for me at least, appreciated.

Watching the varsity play the jv. This team was so poorly constructed by Bob Quinn they won’t or can’t be good for several years. Look no further than drafting a linebacker who was a projected 7th rounder in the second round. A linebacker that they march out there every week who couldn’t cover my grandmother.

Just when you think your team is in trouble and all may be lost, the Loins show up on your schedule to right the ship. They are the NFL version of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Good Lord, that was a wicked drive by Brady and company.

If Brady wins this and therefore a spot in the playoffs . . . while Belichick and the Patriots are officially out, then even the tiny handful of holdouts who deny that Brady is the GOAT will have nothing left to hang their hats on.

Yes indeed, the Patriots success was more about having Brady than Belichick.
