In terms of records, we are just like Iowa. Unfortunately, all four of Iowa's losses were heart breaking last minute types. I'll take the progress our offense has made this year as a sign of good things to come in the future, but our four losses do not compare to Iowa's losses.

Iowa's loses were closer and/or against better teams.  They smoked Sparty (Michigan lost by 17), the smoked Penn State (Michigan lost by 10).

Ask yourself this, if the season ended today, which 7-4 team would go to a better bowl game?  I'll guess that it's Iowa.

I apprecaite well thought out arguments on why. I just don't think Michigan offers bowls a better draw this year. Michigan isn't a guarantee of a good game. Still a lot of errors. Defense is what it is. Our national brand is a lot of name and not a lot of production.

A better bowl will want the best teams with national power. Iowa offers the best combination. The bowls don't want to risk a dud or blowout. Michigan is a risk there. Iowa offers the better game. That's all I'm saying.

Agree with this and the above. I think there's an argument that Michigan's offensive fireworks and the potential for a shootout in the game might be an attraction to some.

Obviously not the only thing to take into account (and I think Iowa would be taken over UM), but there is a bit more appeal of UM's offense than Iowa's.

You should know the 'right thing' is subjective. For me, the right thing is offering him an extension.

He is not over his head, this is the best offense this school and conference has ever witnessed, even  with the turnovers. Denard is the first 1500/1500 player and a true #1 back is coming in next season. The defense has 5 true freshmen.

The only people that would want to offer RR an extension are the blind faith UM fans and the residents of the states of Ohio, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and all of the MSU fans.  Aren't you happy to be in that company, that should tell you something?  When someone is so blinded, it's not worth my time arguing the position.  His 3 season record speaks for itself.

You are trying to corner me by making a fairly bad argument. Coah Rodriguez gives this team the best opportunity for this team to win in 2011 and 2012.

And really, this isn't my first rodeo with this topic on this board, and it appears to be yours. So please, bring your A-game next time.

I hope I came across as a dick, becasue that was my intention with you. Normally I am far from that on here, but dude, you're bringing it out in me tonight.
