Wake Up! It's Game Day!

Submitted by cGOBLUEm on November 12th, 2022 at 6:58 AM

Good morning MGoCommunity! It's time for more November football, and it's one weekend closer to The Game. I'm hoping to see a huge day from Corum to help propel his name in the Heisman race. Additionally, and as always, I'd like to see JJ hit a couple of deep shots. I think that skill will come, but it's hard to be patient. Prediction: M 52 N 10.

What do you all have going on before the 3:30 kick? I'll be taking my 3 boys to basketball this morning and will be home in time to catch the kick for the noon games. It looks like the weather is going to be poor up north, so nothing will get done outside.

For those who like to throw a few dollars around, I took the over 49.5 in today's M game. Any other takers?

Go Blue, and enjoy the day!

thanks re: game for son.  he and i have traded texts this morning and he gave me a detailed breakdown of today's opponent.   he also sent pics of the pretty swanky hotel they put the team up at.  very nice.

as to having a son play in college, i don't know, man, might be a lot easier than you think.  your son A has wheels and wiggle.  if he keeps up his love for the game you never know where he might end up.   please tell N that i said 'hello', too.

Really cool that he's sharing that info with you and shows he's got his head in the game.

The youngest boy got QB lessons paid for from his aunt as a birthday gift so he's excited to start those next week. Basketball also starts next week. He's signed up on two different leagues per his request. We'll probably have to reign him in before we ever need to worry about him losing his motivation to play sports.

I'll say hi to the oldest for you. He's in an all county honors chorus as a frosh and beginning to excel in that world. We're very happy for him.

I had a similar background working on the ramp at a major airline on night shift when I was out of the military and in my 20's. Pay was good and good benefits, but eventually burned me out. It worked out in the end as it resulted in me going back to college etc...

If you eventually say eff it, i hope it leads you to something with better hours and more satisfaction. Always good to have your current frustrations serve as a motivator.

Work this morning at our church to clean the grounds (raking, trim trees, etc.)  Our UM student son is home for the weekend so we’ll do some things.  Hoping the game viewing experience goes smoothly.  Last week, one minute into the game, our cable went out (high winds in the area) so I had to scramble to watch on my phone rather than my 65” TV.

Pouring rain.

Corum needs to chillax the entire second half after scoring 3 TDs (one being a short pass into the end zone). Rest up, Heisman.

Other than the afternoon game? Nothing, absolutely nothing - finally - and it's going to be great!

Miserable cough that won't go away for weeks. Cough drops, water and some coffee (can't function without that) propels me to get through the morning. Couldn't sleep much but it is not going to stop me from watching noon games. Hoping to see UM win big with Corum ripping off a few TDs in the first half and resting 2nd half. Would love to see JJ hit a few deep balls and work on the passing game to WRs. Of course, would love to see some chaos in PAC-12 and SEC. ACC is done anyway.

I am awake!! - Got some work to do this morning.  Heading up to Ann Arbor after lunch to catch the game.  I need to look for the cold weather clothes.  A far cry from the shorts and T-shirt I was wearing in New Jersey last week.

Go Blue!!

Can confirm worse back in the day.  I'm old enough to have had a couple of them re-done from when I was a kid.  Apparently, they no longer use silver shoots!  Anyway, the new ones were ready to go the moment the lydocain wore off.  No issues, no pain, didn't even know it was done the next day.

Man up, Hatter - you can handle it without the pain meds.

(Can't wait for Hat's reaction to that...)

nowadays they don’t give painkillers for hardly anything. Opioid addicts ruining it for the rest of us.

in the last few years Ive had a broken foot (offered 800 mg ibuprofen), found out I had a tear in my rotator cuff along with 180 degree tear in labrum (and arthritis in AC joint) and was told after surgery, I’d be prescribed ibuprofen and Tylenol. So I passed on the surgery. Wife had a uterine ablation. Tylenol and ibuprofen.

when I got my wisdom teeth pulled in 2008 they gave me 30 Percocet and 90 Vicodin

It's 15 degrees out here in Kansas this morning and not even all those hot takes from the basketball comments are going to warm us up very much today. A good day to sit by the fire and watch football.

GO BLUE! Play hard-play smart-just take care of business.
