I went about a 5 year period listening to it M-F. Done with it now. It’s just boring most of the time. I’ll tune in at times to certain shows to hear reaction about certain sporting events, but overall sports talk radio is boring.

There's just not enough worth talking about for 4 hours every day so you get dumb callers getting in dumb arguments with dumb hosts, and scorching hot takes to provoke more callers. The only daily sports talk that is remotely palatable are the shows that spend half the time not talking about sports.

I listened in the 90’s, but tired of it fairly quickly when they immediately took the Drew sharpe take in everything.

Sports talk radio had its heyday - the early 90s into the back half of the 2000s.
Sports as a whole took a step up in terms of popularity from where it was in the 1980s. But the internet and podcasts weren't a thing yet either (or at least a huge thing, speaking about the 2000s).
So it goes, it served its role for a period of time there.

If you think Valenti is going to go on another "choking on apple sauce" rant, prepare to be disappointed. When it comes to Dantonio, he's been pretty consistent on criticizing him for not making more from the excellence equity he built up in the early to mid 2010's.
The most likely narrative he'll spin is chiding Michigan fans about caring about the MSU rivalry again...he loves to engage in that page-clicky type stuff.
