I’d say I more hate than respect Ohio. It’s hard to respect them to be quite honest, for a variety of reasons which I’ll list;
1) lotta adults with braces, and need thereof
2) They poop where your beer goes, which is off putting and occasionally dangerous for us respectable folk
3) The state is quite literally Michigan’s doormat, I don’t respect my doormat.
4) It’s Ohio

I don't hang out in bars or act like an asshole, but I have worn Michigan shirts in Columbus on several occasions and never had anything other than some harmless banter.
That's not to say there aren't a bunch of asshole OSU fans that I can't stand but I've never had an issue or been scared to wear UM attire in Columbus, but I recognize that may be different in a bar on game day or something.

Karan was like 22 years old. I’m pretty sure he was a father at the time as well. Urban is an ass, but acting like he was attacking a “kid” is nonsense. Karan should have never said it, and it turned out to be the 2nd dumbest shit he did in a 45 day period. The first being when he sat out the bowl game to prepare for a draft he didn’t get picked in.

FYI, Karan was a father before he ever committed to UofM.... for some reason MichiganMan14 always omitted that when singing Karan's virtues, not that I find the fact that he was a teen father an issue, since both of my brothers walked that same path; but that MichiganMan14 would omit it entirely while giving us all the insights into Karan has always struck me as odd and intentional.

You are absolutely correct, it is none of my business. I was aware of this well before MichiganMan14 ever wrote up his Karan Higdon commitment story post. I am from his home town and have taught many of Karan's friends and cousins. I have always found it odd that he went out of his way to omit anything about Karan's daughter, such as the following
" Karan committed to USF initially in an effort to stay home as he is the central figure in his family and viewed as a sort of pillar. Staying close to home allowed him to be close with his mother and younger brothers amongst other things. As I said in my post, both of my brothers walked this same path, both dropped out to get jobs and care for their kids. There is a lot of positive that you can discuss from Karan's story and I find it odd that while MM14 freely discussed many aspects of Karan's private life he chose to omit the biggest.

Disagree - if "random fan" says "player X over on the other team is an asshole" - that's just fanspeak.
But coaches and ex-coaches should realize that all the athletes, whether on your team or not, are out there giving their all and competing. That is worthy of respect in all cases - whether the opponent is a bitter rival or an irrelevant FCS cupcake.

I kind of agree. I mean he called Karan an asshole. He’s not telling his 7 year old he’s an asshole, he’s telling a bunch of fired up collegiate athletes this. Kind of different I’d say. If Jim was dominating Ohio and called Dobbins an asshole in a ‘fire up chips’ moment, I’d prob agree with him, and be on the fuck dobbins train with him.
