Updates on Bayside HS (CA) prospects

Zack Morris (6'2" 180 4.6) is a high 4 star dual threat QB. Today he re-affirmed his committment to Stanford (he got a 1502 on his SAT), but there are also rumors out there that he will be following his high school sweetheart Kelly Kapowski to San Diego State. Time will tell with this recruit, and RR may have gotten in on him too late. I just don't see him leaving the state. May be for the best though - he is a bit of a risk. A couple weeks ago he got picked up for DUI leaving from a toga party. A.C Slater (6'0" 212 4.75) is high 3 star/low 4 star type fullback. The Scout boards are confirming a late visit to Ann Arbor. He doesn't seem to fit the system but I think RR may be looking to move him to LB. After all, the rumor is that A.C. stands for "abnormally cruel." Anyway, I hope RR takes a chance on him - size and speed are desperately needed at the LB position. Grades may be an issue, but word is that he's getting some intense tutoring from his friends Screech and Jessie Spanno.

How can you rate Morris ahead of Slater? There's a reason why one is called preppy and the other jock. Now I know what you watch on Saturdays... ;)

because there is pretty clearly some bad blood between the two. From a Rivals interview with Zack: "I'm not sure why he calls me preppy. Looks like he's the one heading to prep school." Also, Slater's star ranking has fallen a bit from his relatively poor senior season stats. Insiders report that some off-field issues had a major impact - his MySpace noted that his (now ex) girlfriend was heading off to Vegas to try and become a Showgirl.

also be having a fundraiser for Screetch and his house? Poor guy, I think if they throw him in like the Witty deal, then RR will be able to hit a homerun and get Morris here with the hopes that Witty/Screetch will be able to do something.

Your recruiting info is outdated. I have sources that tell me that Morris and Slater are a package deal with a silent verbal to California U. (or am I getting this mixed up with those 3-stars out of Beverly Hills; Walsh and what's-his-name?) ...and also: be careful with the youtube video for Screetch. There's fluff in it, but not the kind we normally see with high-schoolers.

you're a little late. Although Zack really admired the academic reputation of Yale and AC got his dream scholarship to the University of Iowa (although, in wrestling), they've both already committed to Cal U.

Why is this not under the Tom posts? Or does he have to interview them first for it to get in that section?

Too bad we couldn't get commits from Valley High's Dan and Stan Clegg. Nothing wrong with adding some depth at OL. They probably hit it off with Boren during their tOSU visit. Why are we talking about this?

I saw a commercial on TV last night telling people not to say "that's gay" when referring to something they didn't like. Someone actually paid money for that. It made me want to call more things gay. It was like the time in college when BAMN came to our fraternity chapter meeting to ask us to boycott Coors beer because of something they did that the libs didn't like. I think we only bought Coors Light for our parties for the rest of the year.

You had BAMN in your chapter meetings? Geez, guy. We had like a secret special room with a lock and passwords, and when we were in there, we elected a fat guy to sit in a chair in front of the door, specifically so Jessica Curtin and her megaphone couldn't just march in. P.S. BAMN were commies, not liberals. I mean, the Young Republican khaki brigade and the staff of the Michigan Review were nobody's picnic, but nobody got them confused with the neo-Nazis on the diag.

I think we held off offering Zach because he still hasn't fully recovered from an ACL injury he suffered in the locker room prior to a basketball game.

Yeah I think that is what they said, but judging by his reaction and the surgery I would put it more as a torn ACL haha. Oh and I don't think we have a chance at A.C. His dad is military and RR's lack of family values doesn't agree with him. However with all the swearing RR does A.C.'s dad might take a liking. Its up in the air...

He couldnt play in the homecoming game because he drank a beer and crashed Lisa's parent's car. Principal Belding was very disappointed. Although in real life Marc-Paul Gosselar did play football, he did not on show. On another SBTB football note. The spinoff- SBTB The College Years featured Bob Golic as the lad's RA. Great call on the Stacy Carosi volley ball scholarship, although rumour is that she moved to Queens and married a fat guy.

A Rivals mod may have this taken down soon, but word from the premium sections says that A.C. Slater will announce his commitment to play for the University of Hawaii Warriors this fall. Apparently, his father is being relocated to a base in Honolulu and A.C. decided that blood is thicker than Bell's Oberon. There's a goodbye luau set for tomorrow evening, if anyone wants to wish Slater well. It appears his decision is final and there will not be--under any circumstances whatsoever--any change (whatsoever). Time to take him off the board.
