A frustrating game yesterday: GF good, GA not so much. But Holtzy's 1st career goal was an OTGWG! Tonight we need to get started on time, bring the energy all the periods, and finish them, in regulation would be nice.

Would love see see great defense tonight. Few shots and fewer from high-danger places. Do that early; time to set that habit for the tourney.
After last night's mail-it-in effort for the first 50 minutes, I'll settle for average defense, occasional backchecking, and fewer turnovers.
Other games: MSU scored again in the 2nd, and in the 3rd, lead 3-1 early 3rd. PSU, OSU still 0-0 late 2nd.

[Edit] Current PWR MSU moved up to 18th, ND dropped to 15th. PSU & OSU still scoreless, past the midway point of 3rd.
Though we mention how penalized this team is, I haven't seen much blame on the coaching staff. Head hits and too many man penalties (this team takes way too many of both) can both be corrected with coaching. Otherwise everything on the coaching side seems positive from an outside ovserver. Minus the lack of a goaltending coach.
This problem existed well before Naurato, who is more of a development guy. But yeah, you are not helping yourself by being the most penalized D1 team.
Don't forget about the endless defensive zone turnovers...

I tried to call Big Ten Plus and tell them not to put a drunk orangutan behind the camera, but no one picked up.
Noted on replay that the clock kept running after the goal.
the BTN+ play by play guy, Jonathan Knight, is terrible.
