The regular season gets under way, as Providence is in town. Listen to a little hockey before the football game starts. Once it does, hockey posts may be infrequent.

I don’t think it’s that interesting. I assumed going in that they’re going to split time to start the year and hope one of them takes the job by the time conference play starts. Noah West has put his time in with the program and was solid as a starter his freshman year at Robert Morris. His profile is similar to Barczewski’s except that Barczewski stuck around the AHA while West transferred to be Michigan’s backup.

 

Barczewski is probably a bit better but I don’t think he’s so much better that he’s THE guy from Day 1 and gets the start every game like we saw with Mann and then Portillo.

Other games: OSU scored twice early 3rd, lead Mercyhurst 3-2, now late 3rd.

Was at the game.  It was a frustrating one to watch.  We were sloppy with the puck and struggled with the Friar forecheck.  Their goalie made a number of unlikely saves, and he also knocked the net off during about 6 different high danger chances.  Hopefully Naurato calls attention to that for tomorrow.
