U-M Hockey @ MN Sat Open Thread

Once again U-M has an opportunity to sweep before it. Can they seize it? I have doubts, but am willing to be proven wrong. Fri 2nd period was absolutely dominated by U-M, with something like 16 shots before MN had 1, but it didn't pay off until 8:02 when van Wyhe finally put the puck in the net. Mike Pastujov got the game winner at 14:34 of the 2nd (Lavigne had one of the assists). Both MN goals came on the PP (out of 7), so stay out of the damn box!

If they control the flow of the game like they did last night, should get the W. A lot of patience, solid passing, and back checking yesterday.

FYI

As stated on other thread, you can use TV provider to login to BTN2Go to watch the game LIVE. Can use Roku, Amazon Fire (via Fox Sports Go App), or phone to cast to your TV.

I was really hoping the Big Ten adding hockey would be more televised games. Seems like the games are never on any kind of semi-national broadcast anymore. The CCHA days were better...

I live in Ohio, so I don't get FSD, although sometimes (like this weekend) I get games on an alternate Fox Sports channel.  BTN has been an improvement, since I should get to see a game every other weekend or so, but I wish they would do more of what they're doing tonight, which is broadcasting two of the B1G games and putting the third on TV where the teams' fans live.  Michigan-MSU at Yost is why I'm a hockey fan, and the game next Friday is (I think) not televised.  That's ridiculous.

We kill a major, and now we have a 5 on 3 for 2 minutes.  Nice.

Edit: Refs suck, but they're consistent.  So it's 5 on 3 for almost 2 minutes, and then 3 more minutes of a major after that.  Have to take advantage.
