LOL what does HE know?  According to just about everybody here Hoke has already been fired, Harbaugh is signed, sealed and delivered and now we're trying to figure out how many wins Jimbo will rack up year one.

because you want it to be so. I, unlike you, don't accept as truth the words of people without verification.

Claims of third or fourth hand sources are not really claims at all, but unsupported rumors. Unti you name a source or prove that your sources have "inside knowledge" then no one ought to believe you because you have no credibility.(The same would go for me if I made such claims)

People who claim they know what the two Jims are going to do or are thinking are full of shit until proven otherwise. The burden is on them to prove it.

Not sure he's long term answer but that said I think Hackett will do fine during the time he is here. Unlike DB those who have had close contact with him seem to have found him to be friendly and genuine. That's a huge step in the right direction. If he truly has no interest in the long term he will only be in a place a few years before gracefully bowing out. I know after the last 7 years it's hard to trust any coaches or admin, but I'm willing to give Hackett the benefit of the doubt until he proves me wrong.

Makes a lot of sense...it would be much harder to sign up an elite coach with an interim AD.

So, far it looks to me like they are setting things up nicely for Harbaugh or Miles...first ditch Brandon, replaced with a guy that has ties to them and then fire Hoke. I'd assume there are backdoor negotiations going on and that some of this is a reflection of those negotiations.

God what do we do if he does stay, he would have 1 year left on his contract...I'm hoping we ask him or have asked him about his interest now. Our luck we'll get a coach and then he'll be free next season.

I still think next year getting Harbaugh is a better option. I was reading an article showing player tweets, and they are all about how much they love playing for him. Plus how does San Fran tell their fans they are going to fire one of their most successful coaches of the last 15 years.

If Harbaugh comes to UM I will do back flips, but I just don't see him leaving the NFL. Harbaugh is type A. Harbaugh wants to be the best at the top level, his brother beating him in a super bowl probably drives him nuts and I would be surprised if Jim didn't stay in the NFL.

I think Saban realized his style is best utilizted in college. Perhaps Harbaugh will realize the same. I have no insider knowledge whatsoever, but Jim's presumed desire to have almost authoritarian control of his program is going to work better in college than in the NFL.

I could be wrong, but I get the vibe that most are grasping at straws. When we read that San Francisco terminates his contract. Then I will begin to speculate the possibility of Jim Harbaugh returning to Michigan.

Anyone else hear about the 450-pound, 16-point buck that Harbaugh got last weekend? Broke Dean Coffman's 50-year-old record. Funniest thing is he didn't even use a weapon, he just yelled at it to "get the hell over here" and it died of intimidation.
