Trey Burke re-signs with Mavericks

3 year deal worth around 10 million. Player option for the 3rd year and a 7.5% trade kicker which is pretty interesting. Good to see him carving out a pretty long NBA career even if it hasn’t gone like he hoped.

Mavericks are looking like they have a solid team.  Signing Josh Richardson who is an excellent 3 and D player I think shores up some solidarity on the wing.  If Burke and Hardaway find some consistency alongside Porzingis and Luka, it could be a scary team this season.

A good pick-up for the Mavs, who absolutely liked him as a leader of their second unit.  Happy for Trey as well, as he seems to have found a home after being a bit of a vagabond for a while in the NBA.

Already made $15.9M in cash earnings, and set to hit $26M by 2023.

Might not be the max-contract money he envisioned as a draft prospect, but he's still a kid from Ohio who went on to make a killing.

Mavs are an exciting team with great personnel. He is an important role player on a contender. So happy for him - and grateful for the priceless memories he gave us during his dominant two year tenure with Michigan!

Joe Harris just got 4 years $75M to resign with the Nets so I think it's safe to say that Duncan Robinson is going to get absolutely paid next off season by whoever he signs with

Crazy that Trey played well in the bubble when he was essentially a free pick up from the 76ers, who were ironically starving for any sort of offensive spark in the playoffs. Hows how a guy's role with a team can make such a difference.

Obviously he's limited in at the NBA level, due to his defensive weakness and occasional streaky shooting, but he's clearly playing hard and can provide secondary ball handling. After a rough NBA beginning, he's carved out a place as a role guy, and I'm hoping he sticks. The Mavs are a really exciting team with Luka rising, and Trey/THJ add a Michigan flavor to it that has me rooting for them!

Watching him in the playoffs showed that he fits so well with the chemistry of the team. Luka is my favorite player, and it just gives me so much happiness watching Trey and Hardaway play on the same team.
