TomVH: Saturday Visits (March, 27th)

Submitted by TomVH on
OL Matt Frazier was supposed to be there. I haven't double checked with him to see if he made it in, though. DE Brennen Beyer was there. LB Ben Kline was there. ....and DT Kevin Williams was there, also. He said he had a really fun time, and more importantly, got a good understanding of the defensive scheme. It looks like this is Michigan vs. Nebraska, at this point. He wants to make a decision soon, so all these visits are great news.

Nice to see so many O-line & D-line prospects at all these events & practices. Shows that the staff is really focusing on our needs for the future.

Well, hopefully Kevin Williams sees the opportunistic depth chart here and the general awesomeness that being a Wolverine brings. Nebraska brought in 6 D linemen in their 2010 class, maybe that helps us. Either way, I hope he goes Blue.

For some reason I think Kevin Williams is going to really good. I dunno if it his name, or his stats, but his coaches all talk very highly of him. I would love to get a big athletic DT, and Williams fits that bill perfectly. Hopefully he goes Blue.

I know DeAnthony Arnett and Lawrence Thomas(I think) were on campus yesterday for the Badger Sports 7 on 7. They were both there watching the event but not participating. DA was wearing a USC hoody and LT was wearing a State hoody. Also, Devin Gardner was hanging out watching the action.

I saw Conway pushing blue on a couple of instate LB's that were creating a little buzz. One was from Berkley ( I think his last name was Porter) and especially a kid by the last name of Davis out of Detroit Southeastern. Shawn seemed to know him pretty well. I wouldn't be surprised if these guys recruitment's took off a little bit. They can play. Both are 2011 guys.2012 LB's James Ross and Royce-Jenkins Stone are excellent too. I think James Ross will be a national recruit, hopefully it will turn out well for us, I heard someone talking about him yesterday, and mentioned that Larry Foote is his mentor.
