Tom Luginbill on Shane Morris
Tom Luginbill gives his assessment on Shane Morris on Day 1 of the ESPN RISE Champion Gridiron Kings.

I sincerely believe Shane Morris has the potential to be the most prolific left-handed Michigander since 'Booger' of Revenge of the Nerds fame. He's got that much upside, and he's only going to get better. Nice job Hoke and Co.
I find it funny that most of these recruiting event write-ups always have a couple of Notre Dame recruits. ESPN must have a deal with the Domers to put the spotlight on their guys.
Wayne Morgan still sounds like an interesting player.
I hate that he isn't coming to Michigan as well.
"most prolific left hander since Booger"
Tremendous.
Is he still on our radar? Do we want him, not want him? Why? Why not? I forgot. Is there a bigger fish out there?
I think you keep him on your radar. He's a big time player and you never know what can happen with your other commits/targets.
With Terry Richardson not seeming lkie the most solid recruit, yes, I think we should keep Wayne on the radar.
Commence OSU fans wishing for injuries. He pretty much did the same thing as Kalis, so they should act the same, right?
RIGHT?!
the Buckeyes be hatin' again.
Morris is a lefty with a compact delivery, and you don't see all lefties with that.Luginbill does a great job, but I can't help but think that he has Tebow-itis and thinks all lefties are going to have "the loop" in their deliveries.
...and Wayne Morgan's performance at the Gridiron Kings event at Scott Kennedy's Twitter timeline. The MW team is lost to the Southeast team and fell to 0-3.
JNewbergESPN Southeast beats MW 27-18 in pool play @ #gridironkings
Interesting stuff about Morgan. Seems to think that Morgan's really an OLB who's easy to pick on as a DB.
...is on the MW (North) team as well.
ScoutKennedy Shane Morris is driving the North, including a tough catch by Ron Thompson with PJ Williams on his back
are New York and Baltimore in the midwest?
until I saw there's no Northeast or MidAtlantic team.
Much thanks not only to the OP for the thread, but to Shoe for the Twitter link. I knew of the event, but didn't know that we had guys in it.
Should we start speculating about Ron Thompson again? He is a smaller TE, bordering on WR, as is Funchess. Maybe the two of them give us the basis of a WR corps that, while not speedburner smurfs like you see at Fla schools, would be a real headache to bring down.
It's good to see Morris getting more national pub. Does anyone know if he might enroll early? If so, I'd say we're safe not taking a qb this year. I'd like to see more national attention for some of Hoke's other recruits. The class as a whole gets a lot of praise but not as much as individuals. Maybe the media is buying into The Team, The Team, The Team.
