Time of Possession...

Did our team win the TOP battle once last year or the year before? And if so, certainly not in today's fashion, 36:52- 23:08.

The easiest way to help a struggling defense might be to keep them off the field...

obviously deliberate. Give up the element of surprise a little, but for the greater good. Ran down the clock adroitly at the end. Not sure why they called the exact same play three times during the last series, but it seemed like RichRod wanted to spring that last play for another TD; would have been sweet.

Regarding TOP was that it didn't matter--becuase UM sucked at it and well, peeps just want to believe what they want to believe.

Win this battle all the time and you will win most of the time.

Just like recruiting. Get the most guys with the most stars and you will win most of the time.

I loved the TOP stats today. We beat UConn at their own game. We had the ball for 21 minutes in the second half and damn near ran out the clock on the last drive when we took over at 9:45 in the 4th. M's final drive - 15 plays, 51 yards and 8:24 consumed! As we all know, this offense is dangerous if executed properly.
