Will be subjected to the ironical poaching of cliches to the extent that the irony itself becomes cliched, mealymouthed herdthink. Those who stay might find this rather unimaginative and pretty goddamn annoying after a while.

WLA: I say traditions, y'all say cliches! Traditions!
Admirers: Cliches!
WLA: Traditions!
Admirers: Cliches!
WLA: Bravo, sirs. You're all heretofore certified as internet-ready, critically engaged thinkers. You'll be tested again tomorrow.

Ooookay.

Brabbs, thanks for making that last second kick against Washington in 2002.
Consider me an admirer of you.

I'm running cold water over my entire body at this very moment.
STW. Brabbs, control yourself - I don't intend to titilate.

To recap:
I criticize what I deem to be a worthless post - seemingly created with the sole intent to provoke a chorus of by now well-rehearsed responses - that is part of a wider paradigm of WLA trying to impose a particular tone and orthodoxy on the comments of this blog, and doing so in a way that is pompous, irritating, and devoid of wit or intelligence.
Your response was basically a wordy version of "whatever, homo."
I guess you showed me.

My response was intended to be a light-hearted joke.
If you deem the post, or anything I say, worthless, that's your right.

I love it when people go after the "WLA" for something as if the people who write there are
a.) incapable of thinking independently
and
b.) not supported by anyone else
You may think we suck, but that doesn't mean everyone hates it.

I hear you man. I mean, when I see YET ANOTHER WORTHLESS DIARY bitching about a decommitment, what I usually do is ignore it and move on with my life. It's just not worth getting into an argument on the internets about whose opinion is more righteous. So kudos to you, good sir, for turning the other cheek and ignoring what you deem to be a worthless post and moving on!
Oh wait...

"proficiency in tackling left traditional ideas of mere 'kickers' obsolete - he was a new generation of special teams weapon."
I don't know about Brabbs, but Troy Nienberg fit this description for me. Somebody forgot to tell this kid he was wire-thin. He absolutely demolished a few guys. This wasn't without reprocussion. I remember hearing him ask if it was normal not to feel the left side of his body after flipping some kid from Northwestern.
