There are...
...days until Jason Avant (WR 2002-2005) sees Michigan have a receiving core reminiscent of the ones from his time here – maybe even a little better – in 2019.

Here's Mr. Avant against our younger brothers during his senior year:

Season Tee of the Day: 2011
A quite secure contender to be my all-time favorite. Simple, but not too simple. Perfect considering the whole "fergodsakes" meme. Color is better. Not gonna think about the fact that this was the shirt I was comfortably wearing the last time we beat that last team on the schedule there...
FOOTBALL SO CLOSE!!

I remember some one handed grabs by Jason Avant, way before OBJ made it so popular.
i can’t belive how close game day is...

Jason Avant may have had the best set of hands ever among Michigan pass-catchers. It was almost like there was some sort of ? magnetic force ? going on between his hands and any ball within 10 ft of Avant.

Avant had a great one handed grab for a TD vs. Northwestern in 2003.

That catch came at a critical time in the game and pretty much iced it against a really scrappy NW team.

They're still 'scrappy'... and have a good chance to go to the title game this year if they can figure out their QB situation. Not a fan of leaving an entire team guessing, but with the success they've had under Fitz, can't argue much.

Don't forget #8 Chris Howard, our starter in '97 for the national championship team. He never had huge rushing numbers but was a dependable back. His best game in '97 was against PSU with 120 yards and a TD through 3 QTRS. Fr. A-train had a good game at RB as well.
