Tampa Tom Jersey # Speculation Thread

While digging for interesting sports content this morning on various websites I found this particular article on Tom Brady that primary is focused on Brady's efforts to meet and get to know his new teammates:

https://www.nbcsports.com/boston/patriots/tom-brady-had-just-one-request-after-signing-tampa-bay-buccaneers

Midway through the article, though, it veers off into speculation over whether Tom Terrific will request jersey #12, which is currently worn by wide receiver Chris Godwin leading receiver for the Bucs in 2019. So far, Brady hasn't yet requested #12, and Godwin, while he appears ready to discuss the matter with Brady, seems pretty clearly to prefer keeping #12 for himself.

Taking a quick glance at the Bucs numerical roster reveals that Tom's U of M #10 is also currently taken up on their roster by backup slot receiver Scott Miller, a 2nd year player from BGSU.  Miller only played in 10 games last season, having his best statistical game vs Detroit with 3 receptions and his only TD of the season. For the year, his 2019 stat line was 13 catches for 200 yds and 1 TD.

The article itself doesn't speculate on whether The GOAT might wish to return to wearing the hallowed and Hailed #10 he wore as a Wolverine.

Personally, I'd love to see Brady in #10 again.  Make it happen, Tom!

I don't want to see him in any number unless the Bucs go back to the creamsicles. I know they are changing their uniforms and revealing them in April, but the current Bucs uniforms are probably the worst in the NFL and the least appealing uniform I wanted to see Brady in. Now, a creamsicle throwback would be purchased instantly.

Kiddie jokes aside (No way he plays bad enough to warrant them with those weapons), I think the ? should humbly go with #2.

The #12 is already taken and everyone knows he's #1.

i think part of the logic has to be that it has been here since last year, many hundreds of thousands, if not millions, here in the US have been exposed.  as bad as it is, nearly all the morbidity is with other factors - age/weight/diabetes/coronary/pulmonary issues and those are the same factors that all flu's hit.

now test kits are being touted that produce results in 45 minutes.  a brother has a company that can coat masks and make them extremely effective and got a DOD attache today to start production.  we will over come this.

Who is negging Tom Brady?  That article is better than nothing in this vast, desolate sports landscape.

Brady should take 11 as his number. It appears no one has that on the TBB roster.  TB12 can still go on as a business, Chris Godwin would be happy, and Brady could make a pithy statement about team and camaraderie.  Plus 11 is one louder than 10.
