Magnus, am I misunderstanding how the "COVID" year works for eligibility (everyone who was on the team in 2020 gets an extra year of eligibility)? You seem to not be giving people that year, other than the 6th years.

For example:

Cade redshirted in 2019, got a "COVID shirt" in 2020, and so played his "redshirt freshman" campaign in 2021. This understanding would mean that he'd be a "redshirt sophomore" next year and be able to play until the 2024 season.

You seem to not have added the "COVID shirt". I'm no expert here, but got worried that I had a base misunderstanding of this subject after looking at your page.

Please advise.

Everyone gets an extra year if they were in college in 2020, but I'm not going to subtract a year for guys who are already past that point. If they reach a sixth year, I will put them in the 6th year category. The vast majority of players aren't going to reach that point where they're playing for a 6th year in college.

Not a surprise, but a 'poopy' nonetheless!

Good luck, Andrew - I'll you'll be a good and valued player in the League for a long time!  Thank you for doing what you did in Ann Arbor.  I hope your memories of us will be as nice as our memories of you will be.

He accepted  an invitation to the senior bowl quite a while ago so he has been gone for all intents and purposes. Best of luck to him. I also think he will become an NFL starter.

Stueber certainly became an asset. I would argue that he was even better at RT than was Mayfield (who is also in the NFL). Different kinds of tackles for sure. Having a succession of NFL-bound players at RT is certainly helpful to running the football. It will be interesting to see who emerges next at RT.

The O Line seems pretty set otherwise with Oluwatimi transferring in to most likely replace Vastardis without much position battle, and Hayes/Keegan/Zinter are fairly entrenched at their positions. (At least I think Hayes is returning--if Hayes declared for the draft, I didn't hear about it).

Stueber was rock solid on the O-line this year. Never had a horrible game. Always played. I think he was a little underappreciated because he wasn't clubbing donkeys every play, but he paved the way for a lot of good gains and kept the QB upright. Can't ask for much more than that.

Many thanks and good luck.

I imagine this was expected? Truthfully I expected Zinter and Keegan to be the only starters who came back. Everyone else would either graduate and/or decide it was time to cash in.
