Star Wars

Submitted by Brewers Yost on

If our players were cast for a Star Wars remake who would you cast?

I thought of this in an old post when I mentioned making an R2A2 shirt for Richrod as R2D2. Someone else had mentioned Steve Threet PO. Anyhow, given the season I figured this would be a fun topic.

Here are some others I just came up with:

Odoms as Yoda

McGuffie as Luke Skywalker

Are we doing this based on names or on roles. If we are going to do roles then it should be like this:

RR = Yoda (New Mentor)
LC = Obi Wan (Old Mentor)
Threet = Luke Skywalker (main character)

he just isn't good at his job. and pretty much all he did was get killed.

Threet as the millenium Falcon in the empire strikes back. He is beat up, and barely functioning, but you keep rooting for it, because the alternative is bleak.

Minor as Lando. A bit traitorous early on, but redeems himself as time goes on.

Schafer as Darth Vader. You can sense the good in him somewhere, but all you see is evil.

Charlie Weiss as Jabba the Hut. both probably eat too much. Both sustain critical injuries, weiss' knee gets blown up. Jabba's ship gets blown up.

Planet Hoth = locker room at halftime.  Cold and desolate.

Obi-Wan = Rich Rod.  Keeps telling his players, esp Threet, to use the force.  But he just can't initially.  He puts that helmet on that one time and just sucks.  Eventually he gets better but it takes a while, and Obi Wan, although not outwardly annoyed, is obviously brewing inside.

Jawas = all those tiny slot receivers.

Crable as Boba: scary as hell, but went out like a bitch.

Henne as skywalker- maligned, but played hurt and finished strong.

Henson as Darth Maul - destined for greatness, but got skewered.

Minor as Lando - looked good, stumbled a bit, then came back as a stallion.
