Spike Dealing With Lower Body Injury
In a Freep interview (sorry) Spike revealed that he has had a lower body injury that is seriously limiting him in games and practice. Surgery may be necessary, but a decision has been made to wait until the offseason, given the operation's long recovery time.

Lower body for spike, toe for walton. Arizona this week. Shit.

But according to his Twitter Ace now has a diagnosis and will be on the mend soon. Michigan is 0-2 without Ace.

In regards to that whole situation, Michigan could lose out if it meant Ace got his health back. It was wonderful to read about the positive steps he made today. MGoAce.

I'd gladly sacrifice Ace to win out. He's a team player who loves Michigan, so I think he'd understand.

2014 is choosing to go out with a rather mortifying bang, isn't it?
Hopefully, surgery or no, it is resolved and his recovery is full and speedy. Spike being Spike, he wants to to contribute and you can tell in the interview it is tough for him not to be able to do as much as he normally would for the team.
