Sorta OT: Sneaker Qs
Two things about a rad nice in athletics aesthetics:
1. Was Juwan sporting a pair of Michigan AF1s? Are those available somewhere?
2. I noticed that Rocket Watts from MSU had a pair of white and red sneaks that didn't look like Nikes, but couldn't pinpoint what they were. Anyone know what they were/why they weren't MSU colors?
I'm pretty sure Juwan was rocking these retro Air Jordan 1's that are "PE" - player exclusives. Unless you know someone on the team or are willing to pay top dollar, then unfortunately you can't get a pair.

Agreed those AJ 1s that Juwan and staff were rocking were super clean. I think there's a chance that Nike drops those on SNKRS sometime this year. They've been steadily releasing a number of school color themed one recently, I think the UNC one drops tomorrow. If you like those, check out the Nike Dunk Michigan, a bit more affordable, plus Dunks are the rage these days.
Looking at the picture posted above, it looks like Watts is wearing the NIke Freak 1 "Roses."
Yes, that's definitely it - the GA brand mark is what I thought looked like the adidas logo on the tongue at quick glance.

Man, I had those original Nike Dunks back in 6th or 7th grade. They looked cool but weren’t that great functionally. Got the original Air Revolutions for my birthday the next year and it was incredible how the technology had improved.
Rockets are Giannis' first signature shoe. There are a lot of players that don't wear team colors anymore.
1) He was wearing Michigan AJ 1 PEs that aren't available to the public
2) Rocket Watts appeared to be wearing Giannis Antetokounmpo's first signature shoe

I'm not a sneaker head and have perused this thread with some morbid curiosity. I mean, I don't understand the obsession - but this isn't my thing. My thing will be not understood by many others. We all have our thing, no big deal.
But what I can admit... That Air Max 90 is a sharp looking shoe!
What percentage of the hoops market (team and consumer) does Nike have these days?
Gotta think it's like 70%. Adidas took back some basketball market share a few years back but seems like Nike has recovered
It is topics like this that make me miss WD. I know that's not the popular opinion, but I like the gear updates from that kid.
I think most posters liked WD, he just had no self control when it came to the rules of the site, and his ego got in the way instead of just admitting he was wrong.

Here goes another explanation! He called Lebron fans a (ahem, how do I say this without the banhammer?) anti-gay slur, and Ace didn't like it. So they took their little hissy fit to the twitters - where all the cool hissy fits take place - and had a hissy fit slap fight. Word is that their manbuns got tangled together, and they had to share mousse and brush them out 200 times. I'm assuming that Ace won, because he's still writing here, and WD is gone.
