D did great outside of that 1 huge run early.  Keeping PSU to 3 instead of 7 often.

red zone D was great.  refs gave PSU 5 1st downs UM D only 8 I believe.

DOMINANT in the red zone.  A nice comeback after the Indiana fiasco.  The D won this game for us by forcing all those FGs in the red zone.

Even better, 207 yards on 54 plays, or only 3.83 yards per play on average allowed. That's a little more like it, I would say. Buried in there are only 70 rushing yards on 22 attempts for Penn State, or 3.18 yards per carry allowed. That's definitely a little more like it.

...the D was outstanding to hold PSU to that little yardage in light of all the help they got from the refs. Yes, there were a few blips and bloops, but the overall performance was excellent, especially their mental and emotional toughness when it was clear the refs were out to screw Michigan.

PSU had 14 first downs, and 6 of them were on penalties, with 4 coming from Willie Henry alone.

Take even a few of those away, and this wasn't even a contest.

Huge discrepancy in the flags and calls.

Great stops deep to force FGs - have to wonder about Penn State's decision to go for GF on last deep drive.

And this is what the Harbaugh group can do with players he inherited. If they had more time to coach up a full team - it can only get better - yes, better than 9 wins.

Jarrod Wilson made a HUGE play on Penn State's last red zone drive making a tackle in space against a speedy PSU player.

Dline overwhelmed an inferior opponent.

CBs still give up the occasional frustrating big plays, but really good overall

Saquon Barkley @OSU:  26 carries, 194 yds (7.5 YPA)
Saquon Barkley vs. UM:  15 carries, 68 yards (4.5 YPA)

Take out his 56-yard run and he's at 14 carries for 12 yards.  Quality of competition and OL and all, but that's a nice bounceback after Indiana last week.

That was the closest beat down I've ever witnessed. Some questionable calls, bad penalties, and a couple big plays kept Penn St. In that game.

That being said, it was AWESOME to see the defense put the exclamation point on the win with that 4 and out.
