Slippery, New Balls?
Yeah, the title was on purpose.
But, someone said that Tate was complaining that the footballs were slippery and not prepared properly. And, that they did not bring any footballs that were older/properly prepared so M was stuck with the footballs they had.
Anyone have any insight on this? Is it just rumor? Who would be responsible for this -- equipment manager?

If Erin Andrews = fluffer,

He also, during boring games, would drink weird things like tabasco sauce.

Remember the Western Michigan game? The Western QB Hiller was having trouble gripping the new footballs for most of the first half. Then he started using older footballs and he started completing passes quite a bit.

I do remember this. I was at the game and noticed how much trouble he was having. Now THAT could've been a case of poor game ball prep by the eq. staff. Unfortunately I've seen and held some awful footballs that feel like they've just been taken out of the package. You would need massive hands to hold those slippery bastards.
Trust me when I say UofM footballs go through a lengthy process of weathering and preparation (all legal of course) before they see the field. To the point where other teams have been suspicious....always looking for an excuse.
