Sheridan

Am I the only one who was so happy for Nick Sheridan to score that TD? That was a pretty decent run. I mean, I don't want him on the field in real situations any more than the next guy but it was nice to see him do something good.

So when it got called back and he followed it up with that horrible pick I felt just awful. I want to send him a card or something.

Just wait fifteen years when he's a coach of a non-BCS school....
EVERY time his team's on espn they will show a clip of the Minnesota game.

I was cheering for him though, only because he's not our starter anymore and it's a good thing when he's in the game now because it means we're up by 20.

I was absolutely furious with the crowd reaction when they saw that Nick Sheridan was in. I was so glad when he ran for that touchdown so that it would shut them up.

Alas, we all know how that drive turned out, and Nick Sheridan gave the masses a reason to reinforce their opinions of him.

I really hope he finds some redemption.

Sheridan is a valuable player for this team. He really seems to have helped the freshman QBs learn the offense, especially Tate. Forcier gives him high praise and says he knows the offense like another coach. Best thing, this next summer he can lead all the off-season workouts and not be breaking any NCAA rules (just like this past summer).

I now completely understand why this blog and others have adorned Nick Sheridan with a long robe and a scythe.

The interception was classic fucking Football 101: Do not run out of the pocket and then throw across you body, especially into the middle of the field. A coach's son ought to know that; a guy who has been at UM for three years ought to know that. I know Nick is not that talented, but it is also upstairs, in football acumen, that he still shows he just don't get it.

And Rich Rod having him in the game, at that point: Advice from my bench on the peanut gallery: HANDOFFS to the running backs or the read option keeper. NO FUCKING PASSING FOR SHERIDAN.

If I see Sheridan dropping back into the pocket one more time while in a Michigan uniform, Rodriguez is going to get a bill for the broken television.

That being said, it is what it is.

I wanted to see him get a TD, he was close on that zone read.

Savoy ran a bad route. Look at it. Nick looked his way first, then had to bail out when nothing was there...later he talked to him on the sidelines about it.

RB and Slot on either side of the field both ran wheel routes. The 2 outside WRs looked like they were supposed to stem upfield and then cut towards the middle on a post/dig. Matthews did, but Savoy didn't. Even if it was an option route, Savoy had the middle of the field wide open to run to.

I could be wrong but that INT looked to be mainly on Savoy not Nick.
