Scout's 2016 National Recruiter of the Year: Michigan Linebackers Coach Chris Partridge

Seems like a good start to his assistant coaching tenure...

Also, Jay Harbaugh posted the above link and added a nice little zinger...

That whole selling hope thing turned out okay I guess

I could be mistaken, but when they last did these rankings sometime before NSD, we had three coaches in the top ten, and only a few schools had two in the top 25, so if you go by that, this staff can definitely hoof it when it comes to recruiting. To see the success they have had now in Harbaugh's first full cycle here, however, has been a sight to behold and Partridge has been more than integral to that. Congratulations to him.

Yeah but we totally only hired him to get Gary and Peppers amirite? Not because he's a stellar coach or recruiter, but only for that ulterior motive. /s obviously

Well that certainly seems to justify the promotion to a coaching position.  Well done.

And, let me humble myself over the disparaging things I said about Jay Harbaugh.  During last year's recruiting cycle, I expressed my hope that Jay would stop tweeting/leaking ("tweaking"?) about imminent verbal commitments.  I felt he made himself look silly, and put unnecessary pressure on the recruits who's decision was being discussed in the message boards.  I had my doubts about Jay, but boy howdy, can the man coach.  The TEs were arguably the most improved position group of the season.  Jay, you da man.  Tweet whatever the hell you want (just be careful about putting kids on the spot in the media spot light).

Coach is a fantastic judge of talent in every area of football.  I have to believe it comes from his experience and his willingness to use the many football minds around him.
